nope, unless you want to buy American & get a Savage Axis II XP
>>
>>32883502
depends on foliage, terrain and hunting style

more info plox

You can occasionally get REALLY high end stuff used for dirt cheap on Armslist. Short of that, the Tikka and Savage are good options.

Love my Tikka (and Sako). I don't think you can beat the value. You can get guns as accurate for less but what about the smooth ass bolt and sweet trigger?
>>
No.
>>
>>32883502
definitely not.

Nope.

Tikka T3 is probably the best rifle under 1200 bucks you can buy.

.5 moa easy if you do your part, phenomenal trigger, best action I've ever used bar none.

Here's my t3 in it's current state.
Waiting to get a bull 20".

Will shoot .5" everyday if I do my part and use 175gr smk .308.

Fixed

And no, there isn't

Forgot to say, I got a shroud on the SWFA SS 10x42 and fixed the bipod mount.

It's a perfect setup, Still trying to decide whether or not I want to upgrade glass or the barrel first.

what's a good scope to consider?
>>
>>32885830
Depends on what you're looking to do with it.

For deer? Leo vix 3i/2 would be a great scope for it for cheap. Or a cheaper Vortex.

For 100 yards+ and cheap would be what I have on her now. A SWFA SS 10x42.

thanks for the suggestion

No problem man, are you looking to buy one?

Handle a Savage 10 and a R700 and the tikka t3. Manipulate the actions and you'll be blown away by the difference.

Sako GUARANTEES at least 1moa or below on these rifles.

i know i'd like to own a bolt action but i wonder if a S&W M&P10 in 308 would be better for when SHTF.
So i am also looking into scope for hunting
>>
>>32885830
Depends on the range. I've seriously considered a 1-4x for deer as I would not expect to shoot past 200 yards. Or even an Aimpoint.
