A flashlight (especially if its for home defense) and a side saddle if you want. A limbsaver recoil pad will do wonders if you're shooting it a lot.

Find one with a strobe setting, too. People underestimate how massively disorienting it is on the receiving end after your eyes have adjusted to darkness.

OP try shooting a pistol grip stock on a shotgun before buying one if you can. I got a mesa tactical one with a hydraulic recoil buffer tube. It drastically reduced the recoil but I ended up preferring a traditional stock.

also remember red dots are an option too

Does anyone have any fore-end replacement suggestions? The one I have has kind of a goofy one and I don't know if I like it.

best upside imo is can readily mount pic rail for a light

-sidesaddle shell carrier (imo the best options are velcro-mounted elastic shell holders, with one caveat....some elastic is slick & requires the user to modify the loops with rubber or extra retention..from personal experience with the SOE brand shell cards)
-sling mount & sling (again, lots of effective options)

my the 590a1 wears one..grip is guaranteed in wet, dry, dusty, muddy, gloves on, no gloves, etc
..
i can also STRONGLY recommend the XS Big Dot (pic)....tritium insert in a big white dot..
maximum visibility in any lighting
