So i got shot at while driving by some gang banging bean (who was arrested shortly afterward,) and just bought my first guns for home defense.
I got a glock 17 and a remington 870.
I live in commiefornia and need to practice a bit. Is it bad etiquitte to bring a shotgun to an indoor range? I only found one forum that discussed it but there were mixed answers
Wait, did you get shot at a few weeks ago in Ventura or Oxnard?

I don't think so, I haven't seen anyone that's had a problem with it at my local range. Just make sure you only shoot slugs.

Nope, it was in Riverside

yeah that would make more sense for testing marksmenship over just blowing a target to shreds. Are slugs a bit more quiet?
>>32873148
lolno
mabey only if you got some low recoil shells or something

I see, I just read of something like that happening recently, that that's cuckifornia for you. Anyways, shotguns at indoors ranges usually aren't a big deal. I used to work at an indoors range and the only problems with them were people trying to sneak in steel shot or shooting the fuck out of the ceilings and walls. 12 gauges seem a lot more quiet than an AR inside because it's a deeper boom instead of a high crack so you probably shouldn't worry about bugging people too bad, if your worried just give your neighbors a heads up. I'd say as long as there isn't anything in the range rules about them, you're good to go.

They're really loud. But most indoor places require you use slugs.

Go to raahagues if you're in socal.

The range I go to allows it and I see if fairly regularly there. You have to use slugs is one thing to note.

Yeah man i really want to gtfo of this shitty state. Thanks for the answer.

Alright ill buy some slugs along with a bunch of cheap 9mm rounds specifically for the range
>>32873223
Ill look it up now

The place I shoot at lets shooters use whatever they want as long as it's sub 1,200 ft/s. Most places don't let shooters use anything but slug because jackasses hit the target carriers.
Do you really need to 10 bucks in cash to take the FSC and then 15 on card? My LGS told me thats how the gov wants it, never heard about it till now.

dragon maid is shit and not for avatarfagging.

call the range first. Some range only let you use range ammo(expensive) when it comes to shotguns.

>>32874524
not that i heard of here. I think most places prefer cash or check so they do not have to pay for 3% credit transaction fee with credit card company.

A lot depends on the range. At my range, it's buck, slugs, or a chamber adapter- everything else isn't allowed (esp. steel). Chamber adapters are a lot of fun, but wouldn't help you much with managing recoil and follow-ups.
