Daily reminder if you do not own a Webley you haven't really shot a REAL gun.

Pick up a wheel gun
Poorfag here, I've never quite had the opportunity to shoot a revolver before. What would make me value shooting a Webley more than a S&W Model 29?
I've heard that Webleys are actually wildly difficult to stay accurate with. Something about the heavy trigger pull and the fact that the whole gun cocks back.

>the whole gun cocks back.
What?
>>32868589
He's probably thinking about the Webley-Fosbery which featured a recoiling cylinder which cocked the hammer for the next shot.

I've thought about it but...
>600$+ for a good condition mkVI
>350-400$ basic reloading equipment
>75-100$ powder, bullets, brass, primers
Its just not worth it- I could get a brand new wheel gun and a bunch of ammo for that price. Also, you have to choose between a webley thats cut for 45ACP, or uncut in .455 webley. 45ACP is inaccurate as fuck out of a webley, and .455 is hard to load. I suppose if you are already a proficient reloader a Webley isn't a bad purchase, but otherwise I'd pass.
Pic related, its that new production Webley in .357 mag. Too bad its unworldly expensive.

Another option is a MK IV in .38 s&w, common enough cartridge to find, not the cheapest but good for a box on a range trip
>>32870719
>fuck that looks awsome, how expensive you say?
>look it up, ~10,000 burgers
>mfw

It's definitely an investment, but high quality british guns have quite a good record of going up in value
What about Enfield's lawsuit-inducing copy in .38 Shit&Wesson?

I have one, the trigger pull is fucking monumental due to being DAO and either that affects my performance or it's just a really inaccurate gun. Fun as fuck to shoot though, I feel like a bad ass watching all the brass fly out the cylinder when I flick it open.
I did manage to fit some 9mm in it by cutting notches in the rim, but I'm too scared to try it.
I'm thinking about stripping its finish and rebluing it as it's pretty smudged up.

350-400
What? A Lee press is 50 bucks and 455 dies are like 30

Nice Pun
>>32868479
But I do.
A 1915 mark VI in fact.
It had the original pattern spring on the catch but it literally snapped and about took out my eye just from popping it open, sadly.
>>32868508
Actually, i, for one, shoot best with a Webley (at least it's the handgun I'm best with)
I highly doubt that.
>>32868479
what if i have shot one but dont own it
>>32868483
Put the AWP down you noob
I bought pic related because I have a fetish for webleys but cant be arsed to buy a real one and/or reload .455
>>32868483
A wheel gun? Only eight years old and he's already talking about drive-by's!
>>32873103
Do they make one of these in something that isn't a .22? I'd buy the shit out of it.
>>32870719
That firearm is so beautiful I would actually fuck it..
>>32873237
there was a small run of modern .38 S&W
>>32873177
Fuck that was a funny video.
>>32870719
Oh baby she's a beauty
>>32871338
That speed loader thing looks badass
>>32875817
Is it a period piece? Did the British actually use loaders like that?
>>32870719
Goddamn that's a nice looking gun.
>>32872051
What caliber? There's a .22 trainer and a .38 mark iv version available in my area, I'm pretty keen
Is there any legitimacy to this effort to get a new run of them made?
