Same case, but you load .50bmg bullets into it. Overall length same as .308.

though really I had an idea to start with for a .308 case blown out to remove the neck, more or less a straight cartridge but retaining the gradual taper

chambered for lets say .416 caliber you can then load .416 ruger or .416 barrett bullets into the case

Now its kinda like a .300blk except for native .308 systems

Still uses the .308 case size so the magazines are the same and the bolt and extractor is the same.

Same 308 firepower but now your lobbing 300 grain and 400 grain monsters out. And you get 20 round capacity standard.

the only things wrong with metric are that its based on the speed of light (which isnt actually a constant) and it doesnt have enough precision.

If anything I think the Meter should be based on the old times unit of measurement - the Cubit.

And if you scaled the entire metric system down by 50% you would just about match this and make everybody happy.

However im a Base12 system kinda guy and I think we should be counting by Twelves (due to it being divisible by 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 evenly).

So I think thats gonna have to change, at some point.
