Increased mobility through exo-skeletons, holo-interface?

I'm pretty interested in the newest shit in terms of infantry tech.

been in prototyping phase for quite some while. New models pop out all the time, and it's not just mil-tech anymore either.

The various "land warrior" -style integrated electronic systems, like that HUNTR, pretty much do that "holo" shit.

Of course you can always augment the ankle to a boot flip flop sandals would have done the same if boots are to expensive for the CIA account managers budget

So imagine a handicapped ex eod officer having no ankle augmented exosuit but a reinforced prosthetic..not only would he still have to wear pants but there aren't any bombs to eod to have begun with..stick him in a classroom destroy him with a movie book deal idk idk

Battery density and capacity is continuing to be the major issue with exoskeleton concepts.

The proof of concept is there. Still needs plenty of R&D along with the wider tech market to catch up.

ARMA, being a mil-sim, has all its stuff based on real deal items. #3 goes a bit scifi with its opfor gear, but they're mostly franken-guns & prototype stuff mixed together. The camo on those guys in the game is pretty much just upscaled Finnish M05 pattern.

I'm just waiting for a legged 20mm cannon robot sniper that can deploy drones which provide target and environment data, allowing for extremely long-distance sniping from behind terrain obstacles.

Imagine a half-ton spider operating on a nuclear battery that can put a chunk of depleted uranium through Abdul's head, or an engine block, from five miles away. Bonus points for a pulsed laser to burst the eyeballs of any combatants who actually manage to stumble across it or track it down.

Wanna see something fucking awesome? As in ground breaking fuck sick?

Take a look at this device.

These are what you could consider the first potential military brain implants, mind machine interfaces.
The basic jist is, it goes up through your neck in a blood vessel and jams itself in your brain. From there it can record and transmit brain functions.

What could you do with this? The possibilities are endless. Flying fighter jets by the power of thought, controlling remote drones without a controller as a footsoldier after a set of FPV goggles flips down.

My understanding on how it works, is that some guy tells you to think of moving left, and records the synapses firing, like binding a control to your keyboard, except the keyboard is your brain. It could easily cut the time of training with devices and vehicles down by huge margins.

We will absolutely have head-mounted displays once the optics support it. Current HMDs are large and have low field of vision, low contrast, and sometime color separation depending on the type. Size and contrast are the main obstacles, multiple colors and FOVs can come later.

We sure as shit have the electronics ready for once the optics catch up. Small powerful processors, gyros and accelerometers, mesh networks, GPS, night and thermal vision, gunfire locators, airburst grenades. The future is going to be awesome.

The more it gets worked on the better batteries in general will get. Well, in theory at least. Also a problem with electric cars. The work fine, but have limited range and "refueling" out and about can be a bitch.

What's holding back every single batt. tech.

Ability to be mass produced
And be safe enough to actually carry around

Remember that the battery on your phone is liable to explode and catch on fire even under the best of conditions.
>>
>>32868330

The more energy dense we make things, the largest the upper limit is on catastrophic failure

For cell phones, it used to be buh-bye fingers, hello Dental Enamel.

For Vapor pens, it's ooh that's a nice road flare tier.

Now, you figure shit like Graphene is supposedly going to make things on orders of magnitude more energy dense, and now you need to re-engineer the basic principals and materials interactions governing the battery.

I think in Lith-Ion it's them being exposed to air.

Who the fuck knows what it might be with Graphene batteries, hell maybe the materials themselves when exposed to current under voltage malfunction make the perfect storm for a fucking bomb. A proper, Bomb.

Shit ain't as easy as slapping a pair of 2x4 & a couple posts together and shouting fence.

Why can't the suit have a hydrolyzed exosuit exosuit like in fallout 4, instead of a battery just a lot of oil and how can you compasses the heavy workload well use gyrations of the thighs and lower back like an object in motion. "The tin man effect" would the work load have to over compensate the need for a flow in how the man moves as to say the heavier the exotic suit is the faster I can move or the denser the exo exosuit the more I can glide into the patent office because ripping off video games

This idea really rely's to electricly translate a charge into a mechanical geared object of high retardant quality material all the while you integrate medical supplies, self sustainablet computer signal, high drive motility, ammo packs, protection, a condom, band aids, etc.. then they ask about a lightly armored humvee's air conditioning while their family is lonely and you wanting a 30k reenlistment

>>

Lithium-Ion batteries explode and burn when they get too hot. The fire is dangerous because it's a metal fire and cannot be extinguished as easily as other types of fires. All you have to do to prevent a Li-Ion fire is to not let the battery get too hot. All modern batteries have many design features to prevent this, which is why you rarely ever hear about it happening. The ones that do catch fire are almost always some hacked-together piece of crap from China.

Li-Ion batteries are not dangerous. Stop fearmongering about something you evidently know nothing about.

>>32870271

No, the real problem is that batteries can't hold that much electricity, so you have to have an extremely large battery to get anywhere.

There is no issue whatsoever with manufacturing them. A battery is literally some goop, sealed in a bag, put into a box. The world manufactures gazillions of them every day.
