I have a close cousin that passed ranger school. I have a good amount of money to spend, and I'd like to give him the absolute best combat knife I can get him. Pls suggest.

Get him like an ESEE 3 in fixed blade. All the cool Soldiers will laugh at him if he actually brings up any big ass knife.
For me it is the Sebenza. The best combat knife.

Why are you asking /k/? Why wouldn't your cousin want to pick out his own knife?

Used by Austrian special forces. Find me a better knife, I'll wait

Agreed. Rambo knives arent practical.
The ESEE 3 is a nice size/weight.

>Eurofag special forces
>Using a war crime knife
Seems legit

unfortunately fixed blades are not relevant in todays warfare, where the operator who carries this war crime knife is also armed with a glock 19
most guys these days carry an OTF knife, push dagger (as seen in picture), some auto folder
i carry a push dagger because the act of punching is more natural than stabbing, its also only 2-3 inches and can mount off many more places on MOLLE webbing and even belt for concealed carry although i will never get a knife fight so long as i have my snubnoses and glocks
Get him an ESEE 3 or 4. They're solid and proven soldiers' knives. The vast majority of times he draws his knife, he will be opening MREs or cutting cordage. In a survival situation, he will be able to use it to process wood, something a push dagger or some other mallninja knife won't do very well. An ESEE 3 or 4 in a kydex sheath will be perfectly fine if he ever has to stick someone with it, as well.

Do not spend $700 on this.

All of those are perfectly fine for sticking in people, but that's not what he will use a knife for the majority of the time. These are nice to carry as backups if you're walking through a bad neighborhood, but not so good when you need to process firewood.
