Thank god! I hate how the media portrays everyone with a mental illness as someone that is going to go off on a rampage at any second. The vast majority of violence, including gun violence, are people with a criminal record, not a history of violence. In fact, people with a mental illness are more likely to be a victim of a crime than people without a mental illness. As someone that sought mental health care when I was a teenager and had to go through an ungodly amount of legal bullshit to get my gun rights restore, all I can say is fuck that shit.
