Hey /k/, can you help me identifying the rifle at the bottom
Syrian-contract French MAS Mle.1949.
>>32858091
MAS 49, want to buy the carbine version off me?
>>32858104
Thanks mate.
>>32858110
How much and is it in its original caliber?
>>32858150
500-600 maybe, and yes 7.5x54
>>32858091
Chiming in with MAS, unsure exact model or details
>ive been here since summer
>>32858176
Got any pictures?
>>32858311
Not on my phone unfortunately, if the thread is alive I'll post some around 3
>>32858364
Alright, I look forward to it.
>>32858176
I'm French and I'd take it in a heartbeat
>>32858397
Cool piece of french history isn't it?
I recently discoverd a picture of my young grandpa with this rifle, probably when he served in the legion, thats why i asked

Its a shame theyre expensive to shoot, and most of the surplus ammo has dried up. using soft primer commercial ammo tends to lead to slamfires because of the free flaoted firing pin

>>32858491
When did he served?
>>32858552
He was born 39 and was like 20 when he served, maybe a little bit older so late 50's/early 60's. Cant ask him anymore im afraid.
>>32858091
AR 10 and the American FAL prototype are the fucking best
>>32858395
As promised
>>32860280
Fuuuuuuccccckkkkkk......I just bought a Type 30 last night too...
Where are you located?
>>32860280
Idk why its upside down lel
>>32860418
MA, more pics inbound
>>32860418
>>32858505
you need to use harder primer, or take it to a gunsmith to put a spring in front of the firing pin, problem solved ;)
I'm french and actually have one.
>>32860552
I actually bought a firing pin with a return spring, it still slam fired occasionally, the problem is all i can get is PPU soft primer ammo, french surplus is hard to come by
Where can you get 7.5
>>32860520
Holy smokes, now thats hot!
Should've never gone for the Famas
Online, ive only ever got it from gunshows
>>32860561
I think surplus ammo is almost impossible to find also here, i'm not having any problems with ppu, and still ok when reload it with CCI BR2 primers
>>32860418
I had a closeup of the reciever markings but I deleted it by accident ;_; I'll get it again later if the thread is alive
>>32860561
French surplus is also corrosive. It's better just to load your own with hard primers. Or use a titanium firing pin.
>>32860587
Reloading seems to be the best option
>>32860594
Oh it'll be alive. My wallet may not be however....
Don't suppose you'd wanna trade for a M39 PU would you?
>>32860607
Fug i was thinking about an m39, pics?
>>32860613
Not off hand, other than the underside of the tang. I was going to take some today because I'm trying to get rid of it anyways. Wanna just exchange emails?
>>32860640
I'll make a burner here in a bit
>>32860640
