Hey /k/, getting my first gun as soon as my LTC gets okay'd
Things to know: Poorfag, MAsshole, manlet
Right now I'm looking at either the P238 or P938 for a first pistol
The P238 is cheaper up front, but would P938 be cheaper in the long run? I don't know shit about ammo prices with .380 vs 9mm
Also I chose compact since I can probably only afford one decent priced gun for the next year or two. Is full sized necessary for a first pistol?
I'm 5'8 126 lbs btw. If I were to go full sized I'd get Beretta 92fs. Would it even be possible to CC that at my size?

Also noteworthy I'll take it to the range almost weekly, whatever the choice. So keep in mind it'll be largely range but also CC.
Oh and fun fact, might get pic related to hunt deer. Only way you can hunt deer here is shotguns and muzzleloaders. At least with this I can be motherfucking Liver Eating Johnson. Maybe hipfire it one handed at injuns. Traditions Arms makes some beautiful guns.

fullsize isn't "necessary" for a 1st pistol, but it's a better platform for learning pistol marksmanship with.
>I'm 5'8 126 lbs
you aren't going to be able to carry fullsized concealed.
P938 is a better primary carry pistol than the P238, but isn't going to be the best thing to learn on. honestly neither are. buy it, carry it, but look for a used .22lr pistol like a Buckmark to work on your marksmanship with, when you can. you're going to shoot like shit until you get something else to nail down your fundamentals with.

Would a Ruger III suffice? I fired one during my training coarse (first gun I ever shot, fucked up commie State) so it'd be comfiest imo.
And thanks for the advice.

Roger that, so first funs, P938, Ruger Mk III and Prairie Hawken
Should just be a bit over budget if I can get good deals
Thanks anon

I too would like to get a hawkens rifle someday and remove durr. Here in WI gun season is so fucking crowded. I hunt on private land but still it does not feel like hunting, and half of the people in the woods I would not trust with guns at a range. Almost no one hunts during muzzle loading season thats why I want to get into it.
