There's a boltgun specific standard mag platform called AICS mags. The Ruger Scout takes them.

Their shotgats arent even that great either.
They're low quality guns that work well and have features that some people prefer over remington and other brands. Good guns aren't know for their rattle.
It's kinda hard to mess up a pump shotgun though. As long as it goes bang and not kaboom your'e set.
