Probably not.
>>
>>32851424
gayass fudd shit hopefully never
>>
>>32851424
It looks good until you cycle the action and you pull out half the guts of the gun. How did they fuck up a simple lever gun so badly?
>>
>>32852099
You do realize quite a few lever guns do the very same shit? The Winchester 1887 and 1895 drop most of their action out the bottom and the 1895 saw service in World War I. So it's not a particularly bad design issue given the Savage 99 could handle spritzer bullets without exploding its magazine spool.

As far as OP goes you're very likely out of luck on a Savage 99 revival, Savage pretty much ran the machinery for the 1899 design into the ground by the end of the production run and it was deemed to expensive to build a newer version because it was an expensive rifle to construct. However if Savage was ever feeling insane they did build a handful of oversized 99's in .30-06 to evaluate the costs and feasibility of reviving the design and near as I know those rifles and blueprints have been retained. If the stars align you might see a 30-06 Model 99 someday, probably about the same odds as Ruger revising the XGI and putting it to market though.

Picture related, Winchester 1886,1887,1894 and 1895 with their actions open. No different than the Savage 99 opened up.

The marlin 336 is the epitome of lever gun perfection. Why settle for a shitty, unrefined gun like a winchester or savage when you can have the perfected rifle?

top kek
>>
>>32851424
Never
Too expensive to produce

The nice thing about them is the striker interface allows infinite lightening, smoothing, adjusting, and shortening of the trigger pull

Is that tape on the dryer door?

You should really fix that dryer door latch properly anon...

Okay Elmer Fudd, whatever you say.

Hopefully not, the 99 is fucking ugly

Bitch, please.
>Not having the smoothest action on the market
>>
>>32853779
Henries are nice, but their fear of loading gates delegates them to kiddy tier.

>hol' up cleetus I gotsta unscrew muh magazine and drop some rounds in with my hand and face right over the muzzle!

>>32853779

> Henry Rifles
> let's reload like it's the 1700s

I do conceit to the smoothness, but a JM Marlin is so close there and better pretty much everywhere else.
>>
>>32853779
Have fun having to count the amount of rounds you put in, and fucking up, then having to dump some out faggot.
>>
>>32852285
The 1886 and 1892 just have the locking lugs drop down. The henry/1873 style action just has the elevator moving up and down.

I'm with that guy though. I don't like the other actions that spill the guts when the action is opened
