Honestly one tank/plane/helicopter could easily rout any viking force. The biggest problem the US would have to deal with is not running out of ammunition.

Vikings were historically, shit at fighting any kind of organized force. The modern U.S. military, with it's force enhancers like bomber planes, tanks, artillery, and all that, would utterly destroy them. Look at how well the Chinese have done in modern war. Zerg rushing does work, if you have no problem taking losses that are long term unsustainable.
