How do you stop the standoff /k/?
Also, hostage rescue general
>>32848256
Hostages? You mean traitors?
>>32848256
setting the politics aside, what are some strategies used to free the hostages in a situation like this? what should a hostage do to increase their odds of survival?
and because we all love our gear discussions, what is the state of the art in prison riot equipment?

I had a cousin that was a hostage negotiator so I really don't know. I never was in his shoes and never would want to be.

I work at a prison and can provide some input.
At our Closed security facility we have 2% OC spray canisters, 6% OC cans (The badass shit that the CERT team carries around) 9% Riot canisters you have to pump that look like fertilizer sprayers.
There's pepper ball guns that are just powerful paintball guns with OC powder in the balls. We have CS gas grenades and an m79 with CS canisters.
Then you have your standard shields, batons, riot sticks, rib splitters, gas masks and the normal riot gear. Last time I poked my head in the armory, we had a shock shield too. It's a shield with electric pads on the front. Not to mention our .38s, Glocks and mini-14s, but the weapons aren't allowed inside the facility.

just spray the whole prison with taser gas and worry about cleanup later
>>32854526
>taser gas
hmmm
>>32854526
>>32854553
Taser gas hmm
We can fund it, I want gas that someone chokes you and electrifies you at the same time.
>>32854616
Just add powdered iron to regular riot gas
the trick is sneaking a team of contractors months in advance to install the electrodes and high voltage power supplies
>>32848256
Gain control over the prison intercoms and play shitty pop covers of Christmas songs at max volume 24/7
This tactic is proven effective in demoralizing big box retail workers, who are really just inmates anyway.
>>32854616
kinky

t.Russian Spetsnaz
>>32854654
just put powdered batteries in the gas canisters as well
>>32852210
Its funny because they think they DESERVE better education
>prison
>having rights
>being entitled to anything
>in prison
>ever
Wew lad
>>32856665
Some of these inmates are pretrial though.
>>32848256
Cut off food, water, power and play white noise over the pa 24/7. Then you just sit out side and wait for them to slowly give up.
If that dosen't work pump in the gas and let the hard boys deal with it.
>>32856692
Given the state they are just delayed notice guilty for symerna
>>32848256
Hookers. Dozens and dozens of hookers.
>>32848256
suggest to the inmates to write demands and slip off when they disagree on what kind of "bitches" they want
>>32856780
>prisoners begin publicly killing hostages
Good work anon.
>>32849761
>what should a hostage do to increase their odds of survival?
Having not been an asshole their whole career is all I can think of. Some guards are the same as all the cops you ever hated, just being dicks with power. Others give what they get
>>32854725
people are already batteries, neo
just put powdered transformers in the gas canisters to raise the ambient voltage in the room
>>32854676
>This tactic is proven effective in demoralizing big box retail workers, who are really just inmates anyway.
>>32848256
One cop down.
Fug.
>>32848256
halon
>>32856780
>"starving out" people with hostages
Lol.
>>32848256
I'd probably tell some of the prisoners if they betray the others they would get time off their sentence. Then fuck them over for being traitors.
