It's not so much the age, they kept trying to deliver it while I'm at work and wouldn't tell me when it would be delivered. I can't take off a whole day for that. Thanks to the proliferation of cheap Chinese shitglass, by total models produced it's actually in top 10% most expensive. But yes, by /arg/ standards it's cheap.

Unfortunately the answer to both of those is "hell no", the glass is uncharacteristically bad for Leupold and they're quite fragile because they're so light. Tube walls are paper thin and the erectors are made out of diecut aluminum.

I prefer Huskemaw but they don't make AR-appropriate optics. Vortex is the price:perf king but even the HD gen2's aren't quite up to NF standards, which in turn aren't quite up to S&B standards.

I'm seeing it for $3770 in several places with either the MOAR or F1 reticle, and even the H59 is only $4100 in several places. The cheapest PMII 5-25x with a milrad reticle is a little below that but all their Horus reticles are about $4800.

That's not been my experience with either redbox or bluebox (reman) Black Hills, or my experience handloading both the SMK and TMK.

Across 6 rifles and 2 calibers the TMK has been substantially more accurate even at 100yds when compared to an SMK of the same weight. I attribute this to consistent lengths of both the ogive and overall bullet (I don't bother trimming meplats on OTMs).
