Are these good operating/greyman shoes?
>>32844200
No - they're nigger tier - ultimate grey man (what a faggot name) are steel toe western style boots with a slip resistant sole.
>>32844200
>wheat tims
They're only good as something else the urban youth will make you hand over when they stick you up.
>>32844200
Only if you wear them with these and a woodland bdu top
They are good blackman shoes
I wear tan steel-toes for work and cold weather. I think they're fine for a "grey-man" setup.
Don't wear Tims, though. For whatever reason, niggers seem to like them and will notice them.
Beige is good greyman, let all the tacticool fags dressed in all black get shot.

I live in a country with only 3% nigger population though, would they still be bad for a grey man set up?
>>32844327
In that case they will look fine but there are better brands.

>Are literal meme tier boots actually good?
Get a real pair of work boots.
I got a pair very similar to pic related, with good inserts and a pair of thick wool socks they're crazy comfortable.
>>32844327
Why not go with a local boot? When it comes to workwear, most regions seem to have their own brands, and it'll be cheaper than foreign brands.
Here in Australia, we don't really get the well-known American brands like Carhart, and Timberlands are only really sold in "urban" clothing stores, not workwear stores, so I'd be skeptical about their quality, at least outside America, if they're not going for the blue collar crowd.

I like the Moab Ventilators myself. Whatever you get don't fall for the water proof shit. All that does is keep your feet sweaty. If you are gonna do water crossings get yourself a pair of mesh water shoes. My pair is 2oz and rollup real small. Easy to get into my pack. Not only great for water crossings but also great around camp.

Only Timberland boot that's acceptable is the Pro-series. They have a composite toe and a gore-tex liner, you'll be new strings though.
>>32846561
How do they do under abuse and how do they fit you width-wise? I have a pair of Salomons and like them but they are a bit narrow.
>>32846613
You can get em wide width, hold up well enough for me
>>32844200
I believe the Doc Martens hold up better, my current pair I wear for everyday innacold I have had for almost seven years, my beater pair that I wear strictly for motorcycle riding have been around since the 80's and used to be my Dad's. If you do go for the timbs make sure the sole is sown in to the shoe and not glued. Glued sole timbs are ultimate negroid teir and won't hold up under any actual use.

Would the non-waterproof version work well enough for rainy ass oregon?
I already wear mesh nikes I just want something that doesn't want to kill me on washed out muddy slopes and in the ice
>>32848082
If you're gonna constantly be out in wet get some 8" height or so full leather boots you can seal up regularly with "Sno Seal". I'm not gonna full rant on this again but mid-height waterproof hikers are good for puddles in parking lots and not much else.

If you're going to be going through wet conditions just do it right and wear a pair of gaiters, which are considerably more comfortable to wear for a whole bunch of reasons. Not only do they keep water from entering the tops of your boots, but they also keep your socks and pants from being soaked just by walking through wet vegetation- more protection from water overall.

I live on Vancouver Island and I'd say you definitely want waterproof boots if you're going to actually go hiking with them. Commercial brands like Merrell are a good choice if you just want to dress like a normal person though, and if you're just looking for a comfortable boot for everyday use and light day hiking, regular Moabs (or anything similar) will work just fine.
I personally have a pair of Merrell Perimeters that I now wear at work, but have worn hiking coastal rainforest on multi-day backpacking trips, and it really cannot be overstated how important it is to keep your boots dry. Not only is it more comfortable, wet boots are also heavier which will tire you out faster.

This.
They're as comfortable as running shoes, durable and made in the USA.
I just got back from 3 weeks of travel where pic related were my only footware. Walking all day, every day on variable terrain and my feet were happy the whole time.
General question: What kind of socks do you guys go with? I always think I'm missing something there for getting a pair to really work with my feet.

Fuarking jealous as hell, bud. Saw an article this morning that people in my city were trying to legalize gay public fucking in the city parks. Makes me wonder why I still live in Toronto.
