It was buggy as hell, and had StarForce DRM that fucked up my computers and caused me quite some effort to get rid of.

But the plot was fun. And it may have been the last straw that caused game designers to invent fast travel - you could literally spend an hour getting from point A to point B.

J.E. Sawyer has stated he'd be open to work on another Fallout, but the Obsidian team got fucked royally by Bethesda and I doubt a lot of the team would come back to work on another Zenimax game. That said, Fallout 4's engine is a lot more robust and I'd love to see what they could do with a real fucking engine.

But the item descriptions seem to indicate the world outside the Zone is undergoing something of a renaissance due to the properties of the artifacts and mutant parts being brought/smuggled out.

Just change the .txt file that deals with factions. Obviously Monolith, Bandit and Military have none, or next to no allies in the zone. Thats what makes it fun.
