i had a howard leight
>>Best ear pro?
howard leight impact (US special forces approved)
>>Is electronic worth it?
yes, it decrease gunshot noise while increasing dim noises (you can hear 2 flies having sex in the hallway)
>>Any differences for indoor vs outdoor earpro?
not sure

I was looking at those, and they seem to be a pretty great deal for the price. My current setup is some regular over ear muffs and earplugs underneath (I know doubling up only marginally increases protection but I'm a pussy ass bitch).
>indoor vs outdoor
I ask because I notice a significant difference when I'm shooting in the open (clays) and when I'm shooting between walls (rifle range, indoor range)

My problem with my HLs is that if I shoulder a rifle it will lift up the cup off my right ear so I need to wear plugs underneath anyways
>>32836006
I use impacts at outdoor range, and plugs + impacts at indoor range. You can crank the impacts up when you have plugs so you can still hear ambient noises when there isn't shooting.

Shove orange little plugs in ear, boom ear protection.

doubling up is a good idea with long guns without suppression anyway. cans plus electric phones with inner plugs is idea for rifles. tinnitus blows
Does this really need a "general"
Not everything needs to be a "general" thread
>>32837050
Dumb question, but what do you mean by impacts?
>>32837068
Already do, but would like something more substantial cause I'm a bitch and afraid of tinnitus
>>32837087
I suppose not. I'll remember that in the future.

My google-fu is weak, but this may be what you're looking for.
