Both. Finns captured shitloads of them and reissued them. They may have manufactured them too, or at least parts. This barrel is russ though.

Exchanging barrels on any rifle is normally a job for a gun smith. I know, I know, there'll be 20 people in line saying they have done it. But this is /k/ Since I have not done a nagant barrel exchange myself I'll not say how 'easy' it is.

SA, on militaria in general. normally mean Suomi Armee, aka Finnish Army.

The Finns would retrofit the front sights with blade sights instead of the typical post-in-tube, but all the Finnish blades I've seen in person were three-pronged instead of the one.

Dumb question, but I didn't think that 91/30s had removable barrels. Did the Finns just chop saw and thread the receivers or are the barrels actually threaded?

The teeth you see on the left, are a cross view of the barrel threadings.

It doesn't have any value unless you some day get hold of a nagant with a ruined barrel. Then you can in theory restore it a bit. In practice that nugent will probably be rusted into an anchor even before you start, but if you live far enough east in Europe then maybe there is a chance of getting hold of a wreck from someone.
