gayyyyyyyyy. At least keep the glock and get a 320. Don't sell a decades-old proven design for a fucking newcomer with zero real-world experience.

Hard to tell in the pictures but it seems the screw in proud of the rear face of the cocking piece. I can see the recess in the striker that the screw is supposed to align in to keep said striker from moving in its threads.

Now I don't recall ever seeing a striker with two recesses. As far as I know they were only made with one. If a gunsmith or military armourer ever had to grind a new recess in one; say to remedy the existing recess not aligning (clocking) with the retaining screw when the striker was screwed in to the correct depth for good protrusion, then that could be the reason. If that was the case then the screw might actually be set in a second recess. But as I say it looks proud, indicating that it might be sitting on top of the striker and not being allowed to go in further. Easiest way to tell is to just take the screw out. I would then rotate the striker until the recess was in the correct position (hard to do without a bolt tool or pliers if you're not scared), put the screw back in and check protrusion.

tl;dr - strip your bolt, /k/omrade. It's good practice to clean them out and there's something going on with your rifle.
>>
>>32839023

I stripped it a while back to put in a 10% stronger spring to shoot this Indian Bren surplus I had with really hard primers. I'll have to get the tool, I think it might be at my folks place somewhere.

I've used it once at night at a friends farm. Was after we were out of ammo and freezing because it was about 10 out. Have not shot with it on yet, and I've had it over a year so I've been considering selling it.

Depends on what is available in your area; whether you have large outdoor ranges, indoor ranges, somewhere to shoot clays, or plan to go hunting. Or if you're like me, you can buy stuff just because you like looking at it and playing with it. If that's the case, just go with your gut.

It's a great grip, I love it. Smaller around than the fagpul which feels way big in my hand. The BCM one has a hinged door on the bottom to keep stuff in. It doesn't rattle at all and is easy to open, unlike the fagpul one.

I'm actually selling the 9E. The trigger, ergos, and sights are all better than my Glocks and it's been 100% reliable but I can't get over the manual safety. Fuck Ruger so hard for releasing such a good pistol for $350 but never coming out with a safetyless "Pro" version.

Also always been a handgun guy. Have had ~25ish handguns and one shotgun, no rifles. I like rifles but I live in the city and mostly shoot at indoor ranges so they're of little utility. Would like to build an AR some time though.

Pump guns are much cheaper to get a good one, and not something you'd be afraid of throwing around. But nothing looks better than a double barrel shotgun (o/u much more aesthetic than sxs though).

Haven't been to Utah since I went when I was 7. Beautiful state, want to go back.

I injured my back when I was 21. Went paralyzed from waist down for a while. Had surgery, got better, relapsed. Now I've got one bum leg and no balance.

And now, due to unrelated things, I have a trache in my neck.
>>
>>32842475
I've handled one at a local store. The American is a completely different pistol than the SR series from the ground up. Totally different ergos, trigger, magazines, different lockup, etc. It doesn't feel nearly as nice in the hand, it's heavy and thick, and the trigger is this weird thing I've never felt before when it feels like they tried to knockoff a Kahr trigger but failed. Also reviews aren't super positive, especially when compared to the SR... it's a larger, heavier, more expensive pistol that's more awkward to handle and has more recoil than an SR despite the weight (thanks to the American's "low mass" slide). In general it's a mess and a poor substitute for the SR "Pro" pistols myself and others have been asking for for years.
>>
>>32842475
>>32842694
Also I should mention that I don't hate all manual safeties, but the SR/9E's is poor in my opinion. It's too small and far back to positively "ride" like with a 1911, Hi-Power, or CZ 75 safety, and it moves down and back to disengage, meaning a normal sweep of the thumb down and slightly forward like I'm used to doesn't disengage it. I have to either press straight down or down and back with the joint of my thumb which is awkward as hell.
>>
>>32842694
That's a real shame. I had thought about selling my 9e to get one, glad I didn't do that.

>>32842648
Damn anon. Don't think it will help much, but I'm hoping things turn around for you in the future.
>>
>>32842735
Some people like the American, but the ergonomics and trigger are so different it's up to the individual. If you can find one locally pick it up and see if it feels good to you. As for the recoil it's still a 9mm and not at all harsh, it's just noticeably snappier than even lighter guns in the same class.
>>
>>32834594
>what's the second rifle
Mossberg 46m(alpha). It's just a 22, but one of the best 22 target rifles around. It has a manlicher stock, that's what the m stands for.

>>32842270
>gay bedsheets

>>
>>32842797
On second look, are those flaming tire tracks?

Awesome, carry on then
>>
>>32842792
I really like the way the 9e shoots, so I probably won't be a huge fan of the american. I'll have to try it next time I go to a range that rents guns just to give Ruger a chance.
>>
>>32842735
Thanks
>>
>>32842817
It's a Canuck defender 12 gauge. 14 inch barrel, it's a blast. I want a coach gun but with exposed hammers so I can cowboy now.

Defender is >Turkish but honestly is a solid gat. And it has a proper sight not a shitty bead. Plus threaded for chokes, which way too many short barreled guns are not.

>>32843626

>>
>>32841393
You don't have a cat C & D license?
>>
>>32842538
Yep, even came with scary black rails, a VFG that interferes with mag changes if you mount it anywhere but on the very farthest edge of the forend and a shitty folding stock that's way to small and uncomfortable.

Already have a m4 style stock and adapter in the mail on the way here to replace it. Only got 100(nothing basically) rounds of wolf through it so far, but it seems fine besides the shitty stock.

Will get more mags just need to find a place to ship 30rounders to out of state, not sure how I feel about sending them to grannies.

Oh and I'll be putting either a PA micro red dot or a Bushnell trs-25 and a weapon light on it, may as well since I got rails.

Pretty sure this is the stock. I got it in the configuration on that picture. I'may installing a 10-round mag and dust cover without scope mount tonight.

>>32841420
It's actually not party. S/N puts it at 1933, but I would never sell it, since my grandpa brought it home.
>>
>>32845820
How do you like the stock? I've heard that they can dent easily and can be tough to fit on a Chinese sks. They look nice though and I've been thinking of getting one.
>>
>>32845865
I haven't done any fitting for it, and my SKS is Russian. It can tend to pop the receiver out of the stock when I remove or reset the fcg.

>You see to have a type though.
My type is generally foreign semi autos & guns that are eye candy to me, and shooting all of what I consider to be the main calibers. Milsurp bolt actions are probably my next destination, along with a 22lr shotgun, and a cz455 trainer.
For all the guns I own, my 22cal pellet rifle sees the most use by far though. A 455 trainer will probably change that though.

Here's the formula. Incomplete photos or bad photos will be ignored.

You get 1 point for each of the following.
Rifle
Pistol
Shotgun
You get an additional point for the following mounted on at least 1 pistol.
Good Optic/Nightsights
Suppressor
Weapon Mounted Light
You get one additional point for the following items mounted on at least 1 rifle or shotgun.
Good Optic
Suppressor
Weapon Mounted Light
Short Barreled

There is one additional wild card style point up for grabs giving us a max score of 11/10.

Let us begin.
