Really tempted to pick up a vz. 50/vz. 70 in my area for $200, are they any good? Best description I could find is that they're basically a Czech PPK

I really want a PCR. Ended up blowing all my money on a Jericho though after the only PCR I could find in my area was 600 and the 75 Compacts that another shop got that were trade ins from the Czech police all turned out to be beat to shit. Now everyone is backlogged with P10C orders and I've been told they are not going to order anything else until the hype dies down some.

Is that blued? Looks pretty good. After FGMing my CZ I flayed it and am going to blue it when I get the stuff. I was originally going to do a slow rust blue but am going to try hot caustic bluing with Drano crystals instead.

I don't really care for the CZ, but Gunsmith Cats was the shit.

bought a compact, it's my favorite pistol now. Want to get a fullsize next, basically as only a rangetoy. I love the idea of the 75 SA, but my LGS has a really sexy CZ-85 Combat that's almost the same price.

It's shittier. The main selling point is that it's simpler, cheaper, and can be converted between safety and decocker.

I have one in 7.62. still haven't bought any extra fucking mags for it since they're so expensive and only five rounds. what I do is I open the bolt when the mag is empty, place a round half way into the chamber, then I pull the round backwards down into the mag, and close the bolt on it. this way it doesn't hurt the extractor like it would to just drop the round into the chamber. either way it's better than taking the mag out and reloading it. I've gotten pretty fast, but it's just a fun plinking gun for me.

if Cz made a 10 round mag for it I'd love them forever and it would be my SHTF rifle. but five rounds is just not a convenient enough mag capacity.

The extractor has an angled cut, CZ claims it's not a problem to close the bolt on a chambered round and I've personally had no issues.

For target guns, the 527 American is coming in 6.5 Grendel soon so that's neat.
