I'm a .22 lover. Nothing makes me me feel more at peace then throwing lead down range for hours. Has anyone ever shot the pic related gun, or own it. Seems like it would appeal to the inawoods people here.
>>
>>32830168
I've heard they're hit or miss now days.

Get it? Because you shoot at targets? And you hit or miss?

I really bit the bullet on that joke.
>>
>>32830168

Had an Armalite AR-7 awhile back. I mounted a Bushnell magnum phantom handgun scope on it. I couldn't find extra mags, though. It was a tack driver and fun to shoot.
>>
>>32830168

They've had issues with QC for a few yrs and they were pretty awful durING that time. Yeah it can float, they're not water tight, have found water in it before. Sold mine and now keeping my eyes out for a m6 scout rifle. Which is a over under .22 /.410 rifle.

I believe you can find one that's a .410 /.223 too.
>>
>>32830168
That was the first gun I ever shot and I really liked it.
>>
>>32830270

The one with the weird lever instead of a trigger?

I've seen them in .22/.410
>>
>>32830321

Yeah, the pic related one. It's a .22 / .410
I've seen some cool mods for them, were ppl reduced the grip, so reaching the trigger is a million times easier.

Allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.

I own one.
Not too bad.
But I paid $120 for it.

Only other one I know of is a .410 and .223 combo. Which would be sweet for larger game, still be able to take down rabbit and such. From a quick Google search, I found that they also do a single barrel version, that has barrel inserts, the inserts listed below

>"The X-Caliber includes 8 steel adapters from Gear Up’s (X Caliber) system, which converts the 12-gauge smooth-bore into a rifle for 8 separate pistol calibers including: .380 , 9 mm , .357Mag/.38SP , .40 S & W, .44 Mag, .45 ACP , .410/.45colt, and down-sizes to .410 and 20-gauge for a total of 12 calibers. Gear-Up has tested .223 and .308 inserts."

The USAF version that they stocked in E&E kits on planes was in .22 Hornet/.410, and those are even more rare than the commercial M6s
>>
>>32831750

Wish you didn't tell me this.... I want it now.
>>
Don't get the henry. It won't take cheap bulk ammo which is a deal breaker for plinking. My buddy got one as his only firearm because it's a meme and he hates needing to run high velocity stuff all the time. It is very convenient for travel though, which is why he got it.
>>
Speaking of all these 22s, what's every ones experience with the break down 10/22. Been wanting to either get that or just get the folding stock for my normal one.
>>
>>32831876
It's a 10/22... Basically if all you want is a takedown .22 it's great. If you want to tart it out with a bull barrel and other "target" shit, a normal 10/22 is better since it's cheaper and that wouldn't negate the entire reason of getting the TD version.

I have one of the Charter Arms ones from the 1980's. It works. That's about it. You can get the butt cover on with a spare mag in there and it'll still be water-tight.

Not as accurate as my 10-22.
>>
>>32831956

That is beautiful. I just happen to find one for sale.

The AR-7 is for stashing in a bag or burying in the ground in hopes of never needing it but having it as a backup.

They call it a "survival" rifle because they know that preppers are rabid-consumerists and it's a great marketing strategy. It's a piece of junk last resort firearm that will not last extensive use.

Buy a Ruger 10/22 or a Marlin 60.
>>
Dad bought one recently, I've shot it a few times. Extremely light recoil and the way it breaks down is pretty cool, but a bit overkill. I can' t really talk you against it but I'd be willing to bet a Ruger 10/22 takedown would shoot better and come back into one piece quicker and easier.
>>
>>32830205

We did it reddit!
>>
>>32830168
I have one but I leave it in my bugout bag, if I wanna plink I shoot my Marlin Model 60 or my air guns.

Does anybody make a slimmer bag for a TD 10/22 yet? The normal bag is awesome, perfect for taking out in the field plinking since it's big enough to carry the rifle, a pistol, and ammo/mags for each. I've even stuffed my 16" AR broken down in there with my scoped Model 41 with mags for both and the only thing that didn't fit was a bit of AR barrel sticking out (granted the bag was barely able to close).

But, if I wanted to take it hiking or camping, a smaller bag carrying just the TD, and maybe a few bx-25s, that I can strap to the side of my pack would be a lot nicer.

>>32830168
I own this .22 rifle. It's okay. The rifle as this anon said:
>>32831835
won't take bulk ammo. I like how you can take the gun apart and put it in a backpack or whatever. Accuracy is okay. I would recommend a 10/22 over it anyway. Though it wasn't bad for my first gun. I could had done more research and got another rifle instead.
>>
>>32835883
It can also shoot down a helicopter if that somewhat matters to you.

Don't know if there's any made just for the 10/22 but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a bag that's good enough, maybe a large pool que bag or just some soft sleeves so you can put it inside your backpack

When I take my shotgun out of my apartment to go to the woods I'll throw it in a nylon sack that came with a folding chair incase any of my neighbors are anti-gun soccer moms
