word of advice stay away from .40 caliber trade in glocks. I like glocks but there .40 caliber are the worst guns they offer. They wear much faster than 9mm or .45

10 years still shooting my first handgun - SW9VE - minor mods from Apex when they finally got around to it, plus pigtail spring 86.

SW fucked the pooch rolling out a product with substandard trigger components - they could have really grabbed a goodly portion of Glock (hence the lawsuit) if they didn't cheap out.

The 09's did, along with a bad drop safety. The new 9s, c's, and E all have the compact trigger and safeties. You won't get a 9E for 300 unless they're on sale somewhere but it's a better deal than the TPSv2. The SD9 is just gross, skip that thing.

Canik's are actually higher end CZ clones but the SARs are alright. You can roll the dice on a Taurus.

One I didn't see mentioned are the EAA's. Witnesses are pretty cheap considering they're poly Tanfoglios. A Pavona is around $325.

It is in your price range, cheap to shoot, a solid gun, and fuck classic but they are in pretty good condition.
