For the Glock 17, which 9mm grain is better, 124grain or 147grain?
40 grain supersonic cop killer rounds
Get gud

124 fmj for plinking
147 hp for self defense
119 won't even cycle my slide
>>32825494
*115 grain won't even cycle my slide

This. Clerks at my lgs are always surprised when I tell them this.
>>32825268
Either really I'd take a 124gr +p in a 17
>>32825268
either is fine.
>>32825494
147 is subsonic right
There's no reason to buy anything but 147gr. The recoil impulse is much smoother, esp compared to 115gr.
>>32825277
That loading is available outside of making your own?
>>32826543
>147 is subsonic
>he thinks bullet weight will make it subsonic
>>32827541
147gr 9mm is in the 1000fps ballpark, it's subsonic
>>32825268
Better for what, OP? Help us help you.
Reliable cycling? Suppressors? Terminal ballistics? Accuracy? Refine your question.
>>32827541
F/m=a, faggot
>>32828220
For home defense, you projecting faggot.
>>32827541
You're retarded
And so is everyone else advocating 147 grain for anything other than use with a suppressor. 124 grain is the best balance between weight and velocity for self defense. And 115 is almost always cheapest for plinking. Cycles my 19 just fine.

>Cycles my 19 just fine.
OP's question doesn't pertain to g19s, you small handed twink. Fucking kill yourself.
>>32828246
wew lad. It's after six Eastern Time and dark on the East Coast, but day/k/are is still here.

It honestly surprises me a little bit. I have some fairly conservative 115 grain hand loads and they cycle without issue in my Glock 34.
