I know the milsurp is drying up, but I just got a 54r and I was wondering where /k/'s fellow nuggetheads had the best luck buying food.
Help a newbie out, won't you?

But if you can find a local deal that's better. Go for it.
Personally, I'm not a fan of ammo over 150gr. I like faster/flatter shooting stuff that mostly matches the flight path of surplus.
Hard to say if surplus 54r will ever come back, but lets hope.
If I had my choice in 54r ammo, I'd go with the LVE headstamped stuff being sold under the wolf name currently.

I haven't bought nugget food in a long time. Then again I haven't shot my nugget in a long time.
I have a few boxes of new production ammo and a case of surplus that I can shoot through.
>mfw have a 300 round can from 1946 on clips stashed away with over 100 real Russian clips I never use

Thank you much, I just got back into gun ownership and of course I choose something that eats special snowflake ammo.
Magdumping mosin fireballs will be fun, though.
I think MidwayUSA has some new production steel cased stuff for under 50 cents a round.

I saw some decent deals on tula bricks, too
