Its worth about $100 if you want to sell it at a gunshop, probably less. It's valuable for collectors, who might give you $250 or so for one.

They're great guns, but nearly worthless for anyone other than people who want to own one.

$700 sounds pretty high if you want it to actually sell. I have seen them listed that high on Collectors Firearms website, but it's a well known fact that CF generally inflates the value of everything they sell by 200%. Check Gunbroker for CZ 27's and see what people are actually paying for them.

Being a 27, probably not, and only because they aren't as popular, even among the WW2 pistol crowd. Put it on Gunbroker and you might get lucky, but I think $500-600ish is a better range. I usually see these in the $300-350 range and the paper does add a little something.

I'm not saying you can't get $750 (or maybe even hit four digits), just don't get your hopes up. IIRC I've seen bringback Spanish Rubies sell in the $400-500 range with paperwork, and they are generally $150-250 pistols.

At $150 you're fine. If you keep it a while it will appreciate. Pistols with authentic bringback papers are going up every year.

I forgot to add: one reason prices are going up is fewer of them are around. Most of the vets are dead now so fewer opportunities come around to grab these unless they come from collections (and collections = wanting a shitload of money). Plus many vets threw away their papers or otherwise lost them.

My grandfather has a few Vietnam bringbacks, but a house fire in the early 80's destroyed the paperwork. Guns were fine because he kept them out in his workshop, but he had his paperwork with other military documents and medals and those went up in flames.

Certain things could be replaced but he made no effort to obtain replacement bringback papers, and I don't know if one can even obtain those from the military.

Gunbroker completed auctions will give you your honest to goodness best value.

Search for the pistol, then search for bringback, and then make a comparable analysis and come up with a decision.

As someone who collects early 20th century autos, if I were in the market for one of these and cared about the paperwork, I'd probably bid $400-450 and I'm a cheap ass, so $500+ is easily obtainable imo.

Or, you know, once I did see a 1910/22 with eagle stamps and bringback go for $1300, so fucking anything is possible if the right fuckers get gun fever.

There is such a thing as a Kelly Blue Book of guns, but there's also a lot of fluctuation in used gun sales.

Gun blue books don't really mean shit in today's market. I've seen several dealers get burned by depending "on the book". Burned two myself.

Final question, i have multiple papers for said gun from different offices. Seems the guy got capture papers multiple times. Would the effect value?
