It depends of the situation. When I was in military we always were sleeping with clothes in the sleeping in case of emergency.
You used to just pull down our pants and pull up our shirts with the combats boots between the legs. And sometimes even with harness/tactical vest on us (juste opened to pull up the shirt).

If you're hiking in a really safe zone without dangerous wild animals and so (with your family for exemple), yeah you can sleep completely nude in your bag (it's the best solution).
But you never know. I always sleep with my clothes and co to be ready to jump off the bag in case of danger even if the area is safe.

I sleep naked, even when out camping alone. We got bears, wolves, moose, lost Canadians around here. Biggest threat is getting your dick mauled off, as you combat one of those threats. I sleep in a hammock, so my rifle just lays on my torso as I sleep.

No way for me to quickly put on my boots if I had to roll out of my hammock really quick (which is why I'm more about hammock camping, I can easily get up with my bad knee.) I at least can stand up quickly and have rifle ready if time came.

If you own a common truck whose computer can be flashed to delete anti-theft systems, you may choose to have ATS deleted when flashing the ECU for other things. Know what else your ECU fits if your truck dies. For example the ECU in my 2000 K1500 fits many other vehicles.

There's technically no reason why it could not be bigger in size, if you use other materials. But as with all stoves of this type, you cannot salvage surplus fuel after you are done - it evaporates away. Fuel isn't expensive but if all you have left is a dl then such things matter.

The clothes insulate your body from drafts that come into the bag through the face opening from you shifting around at night. I can only assume you have never camped in temps below about 30 degrees before. As soon as you get up to pee at night, you can lose so much body heat that you'll start shivering violently. The clothes also keep body oils out of your sleeping bag, since dirty goose down doesn't loft as well.

Well I had to biwak often enough during my conscription during winter. The alps are not nice at -20° C in the snow. Thank god I learned the hard way before, during fall, that the clothes will become moist and cold when you have to wear them the next day.

Chances are that you packed a sleeping bag that was capable of insulating at -20C temperatures, but because you're an idiot, in 0-5C temperatures, you just zipped the thing up to your chin and thought that you'd be fine and that you wouldn't overheat. The problem here wasn't that you were wearing clothes. The problem was that your sleeping bag was far too warm for the conditions you actually experienced.

Ironically, your clothes, even if they got a little sweaty, likely saved your dumb ass anyway, by soaking up your sweat and not letting it puddle in your sleeping bag's insulation.
