Hats that fit.
And Gerwitz, that guy definitely knew that was an airborne shirt.
Why is ww2 gear so much comfier than modern stuff in wintertime?
>>32802545
I'm pretty salty one of us didn't get it...
I did get this though: http://www.ebay.com/itm/311784867994?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
this is different from all the commericial and issue uniforms Ive seen, it looks like the tag says its IR treated which seems excessive for a commercial item.
Anyone big guys own a pair of these?
Worried I'll look like a clown if I get size 13s, should I size down or will they not fit?
>>32802703
Coloration was definitely different, I've seen those tags before.
They're all at the least supposed to be anti-static.
>>32802545
How much did It go for?
>>32802818
$54
>>32802828
Wow. In other news I lost another Vomit choco chip again.

I get it's a cool coloration but just why does it always fetch so much?

>>32802856
I remember when afh first started getting big shipments of Middle Eastern shit one dude was bidding on almost every thing that was listed, and he went high.

To finish my Russkie impression.
Holy grail would be to get a KGB border guard KLMK afghanka.

How do you guys store pants? Do you guys hang them or fold them?

Mine are folded but only because I don't have the space to hang them.

I do have another pair of eggs trousers coming in, these ones have a much different cut.
Cargo pockets, two rear pockets, heavy belt loops, belt-style waist.

Eggs are a great looking uniform.
As a serious eggs collector, you WILL need the training academy mint green variant..
You can really fall that far back behind the curve? Jesus, even fucking Gerwitz has one by now...
Just got these today at FIG, pouches are dated 1939.

Huh, neat. Cool beans. I might try to get that guy's pair of winter trousers some time, I'd much rather have a complete set.

I doubt these are going to get any easier to find. Those were good pick-ups on eBay, I had to hold off since they weren't the exact size and condition that I normally demand.
>Also, I know you have a set, but is this a piece of one of the early Latvian TTSkO patterns? Colors seem about right, and it came right out of Ukraine.
I wouldn't call that a strictly Latvian pattern... It originates in the Soviet "Butane" project which resulted in TTsKO, but seems to have re-appeared in the Ukraine in the early 1990s as a camouflage of choice for their various export customers, like Latvia, and even Russia used this pattern in the southern republics.
Why Ukraine? Because Ukraine was the primary location for most of the textile industry for the Soviet Union, which they simply inherited after the downfall.
They even made weird, limited-run orders for single units, like pic related, which was ordered by some Bulgarian tank unit, totally unique cut, but same camouflage.
Current grail is current issue Aussie LBV. People will argue with me on that but good luck finding a legit piece

I ordered a pair of those bundesheer boots on kommandostore and the order isn't showing up in my order history, but the transaction is pending in my bank account.

Yes. I forgot about it for the longest after I just accepted my loss, but like 2 weeks ago I got a update on the shipping. Apparently it got here, sat, got sent back, sat for 3 months, and now just got said it was processed in kiev again.
>>32809826
I usually just avoid ebay when it comes to stuff, as normally there are just way too many bidders for my liking, but I couldn't resist. I wish you good luck finding some that meets your requirements man.
I knew they were the main manufacturer of most of the really goofy stuff in the 90's, but I guess I never realized they exported the same patterns to multiple buyers sometimes.
Speaking of Bulgaria, are you aware of any of items other than normal weight uniforms in their lizard pattern used by military advisors being produced? I know of a cold weather type coat that a friend of mine in bulgaria has, and it's age certainly matches when it would have been used, but I'm wary of its authenticity. I just stepped away from my desktop, but I'll post a picture tomorrow if you'll stick around.
Also, to your knowledge, has anyone been able to find evidence that the green/orange tiger stripe type pattern was actually used?

Their internal ministry field personnel used it in the mid to late 90s. It's pretty obscure but I do believe they made summer and winter uniforms.

>>32811092
>Anyone here know what type of rigging or vests the current Belgian military uses now? Preferably the paratroopers, but anything is helpful at this point.
It varies quite a bit because the belgistani army does rolling upgrades instead of large overhauls. That's why the FNC is only slowly replaced by the SCAR-L. And most chest rigs or carriers tend to be bought for use in A-stan, so they have desert/rock camo, not jigsaw. This means the soldiers on anti-terror babysitting duty are wearing horrendously mismatched shit.
As an aside: One interesting thing to note is that for these patrols, they usually mix units, so that you're walking a beat with a guy another units. I guess they rotate these people to ensure no guys from a same unit decide to slack off.
Anyhow, an additional issue for identifying belgian gear is that since they're doing rolling upgrades, people don't want to wait & buy their own shit commercially. Most units allow it (within reason).
This is AFAIK the most modern style of gear the belgistanis buy.
Dunno its official name though.
You see plenty of guys sporting american & british style combat harnesses though. Mostly american though.
Found these at a thrift store.
Both brand new and size 36 (US dress shirt size 14 or Small).

Do you guys know where to get a tiger stripe field jacket or shirt that's decent? The camo seemed to be different enough to wear in the street without looking like a try hard
>>32820603
Forever jealous.
Come to surpfest 2, I promise that won't disappear. Pinky promise.
>>32820839
I'm sure another one will turn up.
>>32821004
No it was new with tags, found it near Camp Lejeune.
>>32821160
>new with tags
Fuck you, how
if i buy this and wear it as a coat for everyday shit and to college would it make me look like an autist?
>>32821655
That's subjective. Why do you care about what others think of you?
>>32821858
i was hoping to get a girlfriend at some point
>>32821873
If she's worth your time, your autistic hobbies are either shared interests or something she's fairly neutral about. Preferably the former.
>>32821891
Most girls I've met who are into military stuff are also into girls.
The ones that aren't are usually not very attractive.
Not that I have any room to be picky but, I am.
>>32809980
I been good. Just working a lot. Life is busy and expensive.
>>32821891
>>32821942
This is ironic shit advice coming from the most autistic, socially maladjusted retards on 4chan.
lmao what a bunch of beta fags
>>32822228
so do you think the coat would make me look autistic or what?
>>32822233
>coat would make me look autistic
You already do a good enough job without autism rags.
>>32822247

>>32822228
Oh hey, your ban is lifted. These threads have been a bit boring lately.
>>32822353
Hessen, ATF, SMW for repros, eBay, flea markets, Facebook groups for originals
>>32822432
idk senpai that shit looks expensive. Anyone here gotten anything from WW2 sale?
>>32820920
Hey, I figured De La's piece would summon you. Email me!
[email protected]
>>32822286
Whatever floats your boat.
>>32822443
>that shit looks expensive
Yup. All Nazi shit (repro or not) is stupid expensive.
>>32822443
WW2 Sale is generally regarded as garbage I believe. Aside from sketchy business practices the quality/authenticity is poor.
>>32802705
Where to cop?
>>32824570
Nugget enterprioses.
>>32824587
No thanks, I don't want to get scammed.
Got it for 25 moni.
>>32824621
So far, this is all I have.
>>32812280
The whole set is called BEAR
I've got one set in woodland camo and a kevlar vest in desert pattern, but now they are getting coyote brown vest with camo pouches.
>>32824655

>>32821873
>>32821891
>Not having a qt gril see your collection and think it's cool
>>32825389
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? ABANDON SHIP!
>>32802545
I got this from S&Graf in Tokyo. Did I do good? I get a feeling it might not be genuine.
No Eesti package again...
>>32827964
That's a custom piece, right?
>>32827618
It's probably not. Most pieces aren't.
Shit pic though/
Hey guys. My grandfather just died, he was 83. This is my favourite thread so I figure I'd tell you all. He was a navy vet, served in Korea. He should have a bunch of old stuff. I'll take some pics and hopefully get some things to show all of you. Here's his Flight Jacket.
>>32829019
sorry for your loss my dude.
This is the FR sample. No EGA on the pocket.
Someone modified the hell out of this one. It's basically an ACU cut with a few changes.
Paid $50 for this, 1977 dated.
Surprisingly comfy
>>32829019
Absolutely fantastic item. It makes me happier than anything to know that a piece like that will actually be loved and taken care of rather than just put in the back of some attic, or sold for nothing. I'm sorry for your loss man.
>>32829782
>patched
fuck
>>32829769
I'm selling mine.
>>32829782
Noice. I need that variation.
>>32830052
Does that guy still possibly have more of that center pattern? I'm really getting pulled into US stuff now.
>>32821655
dye it black
>>32830052
Jelly.
Where does Ivan live?
I'm gonna shoot up his place if I don't get my rhodie shorts by the end of feb
Oh I almost forgot. I was looking through old Natick stuff today at work and found some interesting pics from their tests.
>>32831558
>>32831571
I literally cannot see a difference.
>>32830052
Fug, are these all new pickups? You just get this shit at surplus stores near bases?
>>32829019
Sorry for your loss man. It's great to have something meaningful from your grandparents though. I have or eventually will inherit my grandfather's watch, my other grandfathers police revolvers, and my great grandfather's police revolver. He was a bodyguard of the mayor of Chicago during the 1920s.
>>32831749
That's really cool man. Unfortunately all his guns and clothes will have to be split between his 5 kids though. My dad is the only one who wouldn't sell them, so hopefully the will is actually thought out.
>>32829777
Thanks man. His other jacket with all the patches would be nice, the one I have is his original that he stripped.
>>32829340
I appreciate it dude
>>32831749
Only the one on the far left is new. I get them all sorts of places but yeah mostly surplus stores.
>>32832355
He said he had more (both uniforms and fabric) but he's been hard to get ahold of from the beginning. I'll see if I can find his number tomorrow.
>>32832388
Cheers, keep me updated.
>>32831558
Never heard of Natural Gear before
>>32832525
Is that sumpfmuster on the Syria one?
>>32832772
Yes, although I've never seen Syrians wearing sumpf, I think they meant Libya.
>>32832525
Yeah, was another fuddy duddy gone DEVGRU CHRIS COSTAKYLE tested with everything else in 2009, but didn't end up making the cut to even be tested in the field, unlike mirage, aor2, ucp-d, and desert brush.
Any natural gear stuff you're going to see now is all SF kit, mostly pieces made by beyond for bdu's, mystery ranch for packs, crye for helmets/covers, lbt for carriers, etc, etc, etc. I'll post pics next thread.
>like mossy oak, it was a normal hunting pattern, but unlike mossy oak, both normal AND desert versions were made by beyond.
>>32828055
