Has anyone ever shot their gun in public?
Like taking out a camera?
Warning shot to muggers?
Because you're an American?
>>32797873
I shot one on public land multiple times because I'm legally allowed to.
>>32797882
You're legally allowed to?
As in other people aren't, or just because you're American?
>>32797873
when i lived in a trailer park sometimes weed get drunk and pop off a few rounds into a yard fridge or something like that. cops wood come and weed just says didnt here anything.
>>32797906
In the US you're allowed to use certain public land to shoot on provided you follow rules and clean up. Generally it's very secluded/in the middle of nowhere

This is advanced shitposting
I use the family shack area for shooting practice and it is legal. It's also VERY rural.
If I should even wave a gun around in a public place like a street, the cops will come and they will maybe arrest me. They will also take away every gun I own, permanently, and I will not be allowed to buy any again. So yeah, that will happen - but only if the concept of police magicks away first.

I use to pop off in my back yard until the cops shut me down. Seems there was a county law saying you couldn't discharge within 500 feet of a residence.
Apparently the county I'm in now has no such law.

>summer 2016
>working on passenger sailboat
>captain decides to get a Steen cannon for signals/special events
>one of our new dock neighbors sails in from South Carolina flying a giant fucking Trump flag from his radio mast
>town is hippie central so it doesn't take long for people to get mad
>we sail out to a maintenance dock south of town to pump out on an off-day
>when we sail back to our dock theres a mob of lefties chanting and screaming on the dock
>they're blocking our cleats
>captain doesn't even say shit, just nods at me
>I go to the foredeck and load up the cannon
>when we're about 60 yards out he gives the order to fire
>fucking shakes the ship from bow to stern
>hippies literally climbing over each other to get away
>other captains are howling with laughter
>Coast Guard confiscates the cannon that same day
>>32799257
how long did it take for him to die
>>32797873
>taking out camera
Illegal
>warning shot at a mugger
Retarded and illegal
>because you're American
I shoot either on a conservation department designated shooting range and private land with a homemade range.

Security cameras don't work on film/video game logic dumbie
If you shoot out a security camera they'll still have the footage and can ID you
Then you'll be in hot water for destruction of property and negligent use of a firearm and you'll get fucked in the ass with fines for your little Mission Impossible LARP session
>>32803236
And if it doesn't see you?
>>32797906
You can go to a public wildlife park and shoot guns provided you're not shooting at someone, you clean up after yourself and it's in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. I shoot in White Mountain National Forest in Maine. You just cannot hunt there.
>>32803291
Then another camera probably did, or it saw you approach, or it saw your car approach. Unless you have floor plans and details on individual cameras/viewing arcs youre not getting away scot free. Better to just find a way to shut the power off and then move in.

That reminds me of an incident with a saluting cannon.
> "In the Navy!", circa 1995 (cue dancing faggots, since it was the USS California)
> Preparing for drydock, so we're at an ammo station at Port Angeles offloading our missiles.I was on the fire fighting team on the fantail.
> We have a missile on deck ready to be offloaded, waiting for the crane to finish with the last one, so were just standing around.
> Puget Sound, so sailboats everywhere, one of them pulls up next to us and renders a salute.
> We think "ok, that's cool" so Officer of the Deck orders us to return the salute.
> They fire off a saluting gun.
> While we have a live missile on the deck just a few feet away.
> Not so cool.
> everyone yelling at these idiots.
> They give us the "what did we do?" look
> I think the Coast Guard was called
Hopefully they lost their toy.
>>32797873
>Because you're an American?
Yes that one.
>>32801252
Lmfao, how much did the can on cost?
Anymore stories?
>>32803924
Captain bought it so I don't know exact price but he said it set him back 2 grand plus shipping.
Tons of stories from that job. I remember one time we rescued a guy who was convinced he could swim across the lake (a 14 mile swim against unfavorable current where we were) to win his ex back.
>>32804069
Only 2 grand for a canon? I needo one.
The ultimate
>DON'T TREAD ON REEEEEEEEEE!"
>>32797918
is there a map of US public land online somewhere?
>>32804239
https://www.blm.gov/
not that hard
>>32804222
It was a swivel gun and one of the cheapest models they had
If you want a proper field cannon or a big naval gun be ready to spend a lot more
Also try Strong Firearms, they're a bit cheaper and their cannons are breech-loaded instead of loose-powder muzzleloaders

Obama made a black lives matter page?
>>32803444
>Better to just find a way to shut the power off and then move in.
Security systems without backup power?
>>32803444
