Civilian versions of the FN FAL, SCAR, AK, and countless other designs that do not technically violate any existing weapons categories or have any banned features are banned by name because liberals watched too many action movies.
Semi-auto rifles limited to 5 round magazines except for glorious M1 Garand and rimfires.
AR-15s legal but 'restricted' = must be innasafe at all times except when shooting or transporting. Can only be shot at ranges approved by big brother. This rule applies to all handguns and other weapons in the restricted category.

Open carry of longarms is legal so long as they are unloaded (you will definitely get Canadian bacon cops called on you though).

Shoot non-restricted rifles and shotguns any damn where you please on crown land unless otherwise stated

Correction, it was House Bill 234 passed in 2015 that removed any reference to magazine size from the definition of "automatic rifle," among other things.

Ohio is missing Constitutional Carry and Stand Your Ground, and no-guns signs carry the force of law (misdemeanor trespassing charge if caught I believe).

Everything else is pretty much top tier. State preeemption, shall-issue CHL, no retarded magazine limits or AWB. Transport law is fixed since 2013, used to be confusing as hell but now it's just "make sure you keep the gun and ammo in a separate containers/compartments" which could be as simple as two pockets of the same range bag.

>you CAN use guns for self dfence but good fucking luck justifying that, since 'reasonable force' just about means that unless he's coming at you with a chainsaw and explicitly shouting "I'm going to kill you" then they'll call it unreasonable.
>cannot carry any weapon for self defence (including but not limited to: guns, knives, batons, pepper spray, sticks, or tasers) without a special government order

>>
>>32796283

Our knife law is basically

>if it has a blade you can carry it

Our "constitutional carry" is a little fucky because our AG is either clueless or being a cunt on purpose and because the state police like getting money for doing nothing and everyone carries anyway.

Otherwise, if it's for sale it's legal to buy. No real limits on anything that I know of. One of the gun shops in my area will actually do the fingerprint and photo shit for NFA items when you buy a suppressor or sbr from them and then guide you through the paperwork.
>>
>>32799626

>you CAN use guns for self dfence but good fucking luck justifying that, since 'reasonable force' just about means that unless he's coming at you with a chainsaw and explicitly shouting "I'm going to kill you" then they'll call it unreasonable

Shoot and kill -> place knife in hand -> tell the police he was trying to stab you. When I got my CHL our instructor went over my state's self defense laws and basically told us to shoot to kill. Shoot center mass and stop the threat. A dead criminal can't contest your account of the events in court and shooting to wound will do nothing but fuck you.

>even fucking body armour is banned, literally the opposite of an 'offensive weapon'

I'll never fucking understand laws like this. It's like banning seatbelts for drivers and helmets for bikers.

I think their logic for banning body armour goes like this
>people need body armour to protect themselves
>why would a private citizen need to protect themselves when they have the police?
>That must mean they plan to engage in dangerous activity
>engaging in violent activity is illegal
>therefore the only reason someone would want to own body armour is if they want to do something illegal
>Therefore wearing body armour should be illegal because that will stop people protecting themselves and thus prevent criminal activity

Pretty ok, I guess.
If you want a handgun, you just have to be a member of a gun club for at least 6 months.
For a shotgun or a rifle, just get a hunter's license.

You need an approved weapon locker though. Have to send in pictures of it when applying for a gun license.

There is also some retarded rules for ammo-storage, but nothing too strict.

I'm pretty sure you don't own any guns yourself. Prety sure also that you need much more than that to be able to own an AR15, such as proving you're active in competitions.

Funny how cuckolds like you consider such fucked up laws to be remotely okay. Again, it's probably because you never had to go through the process.
>>
>>32802471
I own a Sig p210 and Browning Buck Mark for range. And a remington 12/89 shotgun.

You can get an AR15 if you compete in practical rifle shooting. You don't have to give your guns back if you retire from competitions.

>>
>>32798331
Very few countries have weapon ownership as fundamental right. Which means it is way easier to limit gun rights. Since A) not being part of the constitution makes a law a lot easier to change and B) people didnt own guns for centuries which they suddenly lose rights of. So they could run the whole "guns are for soldiers and policemen" without any problem, which in turn allows them to keep that going for the next generation as well. If it wasnt for /k/ and family in america I would probably still think private weapon ownership is stupid.
>>
>Norway

Not too bad, have to be 21+ to own a gun. Believe you have to be an active member of a shooting club for 6 months, if you wanna buy your own pistol. Believe it's the same for semi automatic rifles, I'm probably wrong tho. Getting a hunting rifle/shotgun is pretty easy, $100 hunting course, and be a part of a hunting club/team.

Still wish we had the same conscription thing like the Swiss, so every conscript could have their own 416
>>
>Germany

They're hoping by that point that anybody who wanted guns because they're "cool" grew out of that phase, and that a dude's high testosterone has lowered a bit in favor of clear judgement.

>handguns under a certain barrel/overall length b&
>no long gun registry, which is nice, but everything else is registered

On the upside, we have laws that provide for young people to have and use firearms to maintain their family's lifestyle- farmers and mountain folk and shit. We also get to have bayonets and bayonet lugs, and at least we're not as bad off as Bongistan- we can still have handguns, and the licensing and registration process takes some time but isn't exactly difficult.

Poland:

>every gun exept cap&ball requires permit (stuff like crosbows and hard batons/bats too)
>permits are handled by police
>permits are given for specific purpose
>most common purposes are collection, sporting and selfdefence

Collection permit
>must be part of collector association (this is easy part, many have dirty cheap/no membership fees)
>must take medical exams (not hard to past but bit expensive by poilsh standards)
>must past police exam, both practical and theory (both are ridicusly hard and expensive, because police doesn't want you to have guns)
>if you pass, you can ask for permition declaring what guns you want to have (once again pay cash, easily 15 for the first time, can extend easily)
>before you can buy guns you must buy S1 safe (fairly expensive by polish standards)
Adv:
>is pernament
>is fastest
Dis:
>can't CC
>police exams can screw you over

Sporting:
>must be part of shooting club (not that expensive, but takes time)
>after 3 months you can take exams shooter licence and then get sporting licence
>now you just going on competitions, must take certain amount
>medical exams (basically same as with other permits)
>ask police for permition(can only declare types of weapon used in competitions you taken part, rarely more than 5)
>S1 safe
Adv:
>can CC
>skip police exams(shooting licence exam is easy)

>must partake in competitions in order to get
>must partake in competitions in order to keep
>takes longer

>rest is pretty much like collection permit
Adv:
>can CC
>if police actually "believe" that you are in danger they will definetly not go easy on you
>I mean why would they make it easy for people with conections, that would be ridiculus
Dis:
>good luck with proving that you are in danger

Another part of polish gun laws is so called Promesa
>police guaranties that it is legal for you too buy certain weapon (they are dirt cheap but you can take it on max 3 guns per seller)
>must show it to seller

Online guns and ammo sales are virually banned.

Quality restrictions apart from autoguns are nonexistent(autoguns can be get with more money and time).

Theorically you can get up 20mm for collection purpose. No SBR/SBS bullshit.

Most people take combined sporting/collection permit to get best of two worlds(skip police exams, CC, no quality restrictions and can get for up to 30 guns first time).

What laws?
>>
I know it's a bit of a meme really but here in the UK the laws are pretty lenient it's just an absolute bastard to get the licenses (as well as costing a fortune).

If you have the time and money to get a gun club to help you with the paperwork then you can get pretty much any regular gun you want.
We do have restrictions but frankly I'm content with a semi-auto .22LR rather than Yanks who stand by keeping their insane armouries.

Also shotguns are relatively unregulated here, you only need one license and they are cheap as fuck so that's why people usually just get those rather than jump through the hoops for a rifle

hurr durr pistol grips are scary. fkn commiefornia. now the AR i'm building has to have on of those retarded looking droopy stocks with the buffer tube sticking out above it. Or I can register it as an assault weapon and put a magazine lock lmfao as if.

Of course its not real.
there's this incredible thing called "google". if you're using chrome you can even right-click and "search google for this image".

It would take you all of 10 seconds to look and see that there's not one single source for it.

Its idiots like you who are taking bullshit at face value who are to blame for the mass hysteria of "fake news" because you're incapable of using the smallest portion of your brain to ascertain if something is real or not.

Use your fucking head.

I'm taking up shooting as a hobby in the UK and oh my god is there a stigma.

Luckily my family all think it is a normal thing to do, but I can't tell other people as it is all

>Oh my god you should just go to America
>Why do you NEED a gun?
>Don't go shooting people lol

The second one really gets me. I never said I needed a gun, I just want to do it as a hobby. The only reason people found out is there saw me researching guns on my phone at lunch and had to explain myself.

>so many countries are hopping on the freedom train and more people are fighting back against gun control world wide
Feels so good man. The future looks bright here in Canada.

In the outskirts of my town it is legal to shoot but still it makes it hard to find a place to shoot for free. I heard switchblades are legal to carry now, is that true?

- Can get a gun at 18
- Some guns can be bought right of the bats on flea markets
- The army organize shooting lessons with the SIG550 via private partnership with shooting range for every 15 to 21 years old
- Also we can keep our SIG550 for 100$ once our conscription has ended

Though we can't have butterfly knives, symetric blade knives, automatic knives, throwing knives, throwing stars, brass knuckles and tasers

My grandpa gave me one of these to carry when I first started flying on my own, but after 9/11 they really started to crack down and I'm pretty sure modern airline sercurity will still pick it up despite not being metal.

But yeah that was the first thing to come into my mind when I read this until I put 2 and 2 together and realized its the bongs being cuck'd again.

As a canuck milsurp collector with only non-restricteds, I'm generally comfy with canada's gun laws,

But god damn I wish we had the right to use firearms for self defence in home invasion situations, the fact we can be convicted of murder for defending ourselves and our property against criminals bothers me to no end

Texas
No hunting with machine guns
Can't carry knifes with greater than 5 1/2 inch blade.
Can't carry double edged knife because it is a "dagger".
Can't carry brass knuckles
Gravity knives are not allowed at all!
San Antonio and Corpus Christi have city bans on pocket knifes. Too many Mexican knife fights I guess.

We can own it all and their are no restrictions on carrying on private land.
