R8 my rifle

I finally got most of the pieces together. M4 feed ramps, 18 inch barrel (chrome-lined), rifle length gas system, M16 bolt carrier group, and mil spec everything except LPK and furniture.

I say nearly complete because it still does not have a muzzle accessory and there is no front sight in the post. I still managed to keep all shots on target at 70 feet, though.

I wanted an in-between. The 20 inch barrel is kinda lame and heavy, but 18 inches gives me velocity and accuracy. Plus, rifle length gas gives more spacing between front and rear sights which adds to accuracy.

It's not full auto. It has a standard firing control group. Maybe one day I'll fill out the paperwork and get a new lower receiver and auto sear, but not today.

There is a screw in sight. My barrel came with no sight, retention pin, or spring in the post. I am considering getting a tritium one.
