i got an old as fuck pasgt helmet from a swat buddy but it is old as fuck. it has a really weird and shitty strap system that I'm to retarded to get adjusted right and it just chokes the fuck out of me. Its just a single strap similar to pic but worse. is there a way to replace it with a more modern or ergonomic strap similar to the football style chin straps I'm seeing on them now?
i aint trying to buy a new combat helmet cause i hate the strap someone help
Here you go mate, make sure you get the correct size, the link is for XL.

You could try posting what you actually have, seeing as I'm having a hard time figuring out why it would be difficult to adjust the straps in your photo.

i stand by this. I put the aregon aero kit into my pasgt and its super comfy. Make sure once you remove all the nuts and the leather sweat band to clean the inside well. Check for any dents etc as well. If this tread is up ill post pics later.

And you waited until now to shitpost about it?
Yes, tons of simple ACH / MICH style "upgrade sets" are available for good ol' PASGTs. I got one myself.
And yes, US military didn't bother adding anything fancier than a 2-point chinstrap + leather sweatband in their helmets before turn of the millenia.
I've got like 4 of these

The straps are interesting.
I bought a skydex helmet upgrade kit with my pasgt. made it much comfier.

There are upgrade kits like the BLSS, but at a price point near as much as buying an ACH.
My cheapest, fastest suggestion would be to wear a flexfit ballcap or patrol cap under your helmet. That's what we did in the bad old days to keep those shit helmets from shifting around so much.
