The Vader scene at the end made the whole movie worth it for me.

Had some entertaining moments, great battle combined arms battle, and some neat characters.
I stayed away from any spoilers and went in blind. It was good.

Only issues were the character development felt rushed, because they had to rush it. And that kind of hard to look at is as a prequel to Episode IV because everything just seem to much more high-tech.

-High position in the military. If the movies and TCW are anything to go off of, it seems loyal organic members of the CIS are put in control of a sizable amount of droids, and perhaps even a ship/fleet. Wouldn't you want this to be you?

-Battle droids are loyal, programmable, and repairable. If a soldier gets capped out in the field there is no use out of him any more. If you scavenge a droid from the field, you can take him back to the foundry and scrap him for parts for more droids, or just fix it entirely.

-The Confederacy would have won the war. If their army wasn't shut down, or Palpatine hadn't been pulling the strings, their vast numbers of droids and powerful ships would have overwhelmed the Republic, and ushered in a new age of prosperity and wealth for the galaxy.

-Confederate ships are literal sex.

-Considering how lenient the Confederacy is with its citizens, blaster control shouldn't be an issue whatsoever. The CIS promotes blaster ownership, seeing how they often hire and put mercenaries and bounty hunters to use when needed. It is also seen that Confederate citizens own blasters in large numbers, which further proves my point.

End battle is literally space vietnam. Fucking awesome imo, they could've just had that.

First act of the movie is okay. It's tough because they've got to get the whole cast together. Things ramp up pretty fast, and to their credit this had some of the most interesting environments/art direction/set pieces in a star wars film.

The reshoots were to make it more brutal and kill everyone off by the way, so don't listen to people shitting on it for being disney. They also had to abandon a few subplots because the movie's long as fuck already (little over two hours). Compared to any other star wars movie, it's actually a fairly complex look at the rebellion's morality.

Fanservice ranges from okay to extremely well done.
