That's what happens when you don't get while the getting is good.
The writing was on the wall LONG before the surplus kits ran out. No "too good to be true" deals last forever, and the vz2008 was a complete steal.
That's why I ensured my poorer friends who wanted a vz58 after using my cz model got in on it. One still thanks me now and again for making sure he got in on that deal.

I showed up late for everything, when nuggets were dirt cheap I wasn't 18, when Vz58/2008s and K31s were cheap I wasn't living in the states. Not that I'm here I'm stuck without a FOID and unwilling parents. fml

Could have been a cz import and not a vz2008. They got for about a grand. Not having the bayonet lug is a give away for a cz import
