pro tip tell them to add thai sauce on that.

>wear leatherman wave for two years

Still pretty salty.

The most comforting thought is to just take that as a testament to the item's quality. I'm sorry for your loss.

I have a Leatherman tool, but it doesn't have a name on it. It is probably around 14 years old.

Because I don't go to leather bars and I am in no way a leather man. I am however a progressive enlightened adult and I fully endorse your right to the lifestyle you choose to live and the partnership of your choice

Why isn't your multitool a crank bros m19?
>>
Because it's aLeatherman wingman.
>>
>>32780751
Good multitools. I don't edc one, but I used to for work.
>>
>>32781232
It's cool that you don't like leather, I still appreciate you being down to crank bros.

Actual answer, because I want pliers, it's the only reason I bother with a multitool.

It is a leatherman wave, though
doesn't exactly get a lot of use in my cubicle but I just used it to cut my nails

McChick is absolute shit. Ground up chick gizzard reconstituted into a vaguely patty shape, deep fried and put on a bun made of soy beans. Wendy's has significantly better sandwiches that are actually made of real chicken with muscle texture.

I owned a skeletool cx, ST300 and wave, but you are right they never got used much, cause they are useless.
I trust in my stabby stab and real pliers should I need some.

leatherman mutt is a far better one
personally i swap and choose based on what im doing
ive got a victorinox ranger and card, a lockknife box cutter, a card multitool i made myself which ive found pretty damn reliable and a couple of small knives amongst some other bits and pieces
>>
>>32781758
Good choice. I've exchanged mine twice but I use it all the time. Every mechanic should have one.

I have a supertool 300 I carried with me on deployment. I got it as a gift before i left. I used to have a wave, but the pliers broke when i was trying to ply something i shouldn't have been trying to ply. I liked the wave better, but i can't justify buying a new multi tool when i have one that works just fine.
>>

Leatherman Wave

I have that exact one, worked perfectly fine for me during deployment and for work after.

is that actually made in America?

man, that would be novel.
>>
>>32781742
Where are all those bits stored?
>>
>>32780751
Carry a Wingman every day. I got it as a present. If I had bought it, I'd have chipped in the extra to buy one of better ones but since I've already got this one and I'm poor it's not worth it to upgrade.

Still, it works well. Pretty rugged. Pliers are handy. Gets used often and is holding up after a few years.

>>32786263
Rev is such a misstep. Its shitter than the other basic tier ones, but not cheap enough to warrant the downgrade.

Thing is though, the thickness of the small handle is great. If they'd made both that thin it'd be really comfy to carry any time and it'd have a niche. Instead you get some Quasimodo fuck with a normal width handle and a tiny one that might as well be just as bulky as a full size one.
>>
>>32788992
Does anyone make a leatherman with a crescent wrench on it?
>>
>>32788976
Usually in my pocket, tucked into the little sleeves they come with. But sometimes...

>>32789205
The Gerber Cool Tool did iirc. And there are a bunch of Chinese low budget ones available.

But why do you want one? The wrench will either be so small as to be useless or so chunky that it invalidates the point of a multitool.

Depending on what you want it for, a Leatherman Crunch might be better. Has a vise grip and actually folds down to a useful size.
>>
I have a Skeletool and a Rev. Got the Skeletool because I realized that all I ever needed for daily were a knife, pliers/wirecutter, and a screwdriver. The bottle opener was a boon. Ended up misplacing it for a couple of months and bought a Rev as an impulse buy. A day latter I found the Skeletool in a backpack that I nearly tore apart looking through when I first lost it. Now I alternated them daily.
>>
>>32789205
There's this ridiculous thing.

I bought one on clearance ages ago and it's not very useful.

1. Crank Bros. pedals are fucking garbage

2. They can't make a simple spindle clipless pedal, then their multi-hex is probably garbage, too

3. this isn't /asp/

4. fucking spd all the way you hipster
>>
I have two Waves. One is beat and the other is kept pretty nice since it has my name lasered on each side.
Also have a juice S2. Since you mostly just want pliers and occasional screw drivers it is nice and handy while still being small.
>>
>>32786295
have your tried putting the straight edge of the sidekick onto the signal?
>>
>>32789495
phillips, flat head and file were all completely useless in the rev and wingmam.
pretty much the only good thing on the rev is the knife and i already carry a plane folder.

the rebar had better tool selection and build quality, the pliers just weren't comfortable

>>32788992
i'd forgotten about the crunch, the only amazon purchase i've ever returned, thing was comically tiny
>>
Because I have a Gerber Suspension prior to production being shipped to China
>>
>>32789914
you can still find the american made ones on ebay, about $30-40
easily worth it over the $20 chinese modern ones
>>
>>32780751

>>
>>32789205
I have a Multi tool that Has an Adjustable 5/8 head
>>
>>32780751
I used to carry a cheap husky multitool with a small flat/phillips driver, a blade and a serrated blade. 10 dollars for a 2 back, one was large and one was small. I carried the small one, and put the large in my motorcycle bag because the pliers were actually pretty decent.

Then I broke the small ones drivers doing something stupid (using them as a pry) so eventually I got this instead. 5 bucks at a gun show, and has pretty much everything I use. Pliers would be nice, but I haven't needed them since I got this. And it takes standard bits, so that's nice... The oblong bits the skeletool takes is kinda keeping me from getting one. That and I can't find one for cheap enough.
>>
I bought a Leatherman Blast like 15 years ago

hope it lasts forever, shit has been through alot with me.
>>
Leathermans are pretty autistic desu

At work I use Precision screwdrivers. If I don't have the right bits I get them.

My car has a tool kit

My house has a tool room

I have multiple tool kits

I have never found a need for a leatherman in which I didn't already have a better suited tool at hand
>>
>>32790077
Got those around the wrong way mang.

>phillips, flat head and file were all completely useless in the rev and wingmam.

The files are always shit in my experience. Only good for deburring. Even the diamond ones are mediocre. I swapped mine out with a piece from a real file that shattered.

Never had any problems with the drivers though, and used them plenty.

>i'd forgotten about the crunch, the only amazon purchase i've ever returned, thing was comically tiny

Yeah pretty much. As I said anything that's small enough for a multi tool is going to be shit for a wrench or set of grips. If you need an adjustable every day, just carry one. Don't try and force something unsuited into the role.

Oops. Meant to post my Wave
>>
Because someone gave me a Gerber and I'm too cheap to spend my own money on another multi tool.
>>
>>32790890
Can't argue that there are better tools out there, but that must get expensive to have all those tools available in 3 different locations. Also, if you ever get away from your daily routine then it looks like you would probably have nothing.

Wouldn't want to. Yes it is a combination but the blade on the signal is so damn chunky. The edge bevel is also perfect. A thick knife makes the liner lock safer and with zero play. Skins rabbits well.

I have my esee 3 for innawoods
>>
>>32788831
Nice keltec anon. I highly recommend talon grips and quickdraw, shit is a game changer
