Have to say that next to the U-boats, the Raiders had quite a history.
>>32774425
Post some examples. I've never heard of these 'raiders'. What are they?

Germany's auxiliary cruisers.Merchant vessels converted to attack British shipping. Atlantis managed to get a report of British defenses in the far east and passed it on to the Japanese. They gave the captain a samurai sword. I think most of them were eventually hunted down and their ruse cruises came to an end.

I both world wars German "pirates" were quite successful in a small scale. They captured mostly British ships outside of the Atlantic

Don't forget the Kormoran... she sank the australian active light cruiser Sydney without survivors. Unfortunatelly the Kormoran got some hits too and had to be destroyed by its crew after the battle.

Sell it as low radiation scrap steel.
Steel forged before the A-bomb is quite valuable as a medical resource.

Tirpitz wasn't nuked
>>32776410
Which is why it has value as low radiation scrap steel. All of the steel used to buld the Tirpitz was forged before the atomic era, thus has lower levels of background radiation than steel forged after 1945.
Pre-atomic steel is quite valuable in some medical and instrument applications.

Why did the Scharnhorst get damaged by weather so much? It seems like every time they sent it out, the poor thing suffered more damage from weather than from the actual enemy.
