Part of the defense's main argument is that it doesn't matter what he said (so long as it wasn't inciting violence while he was there), so long as he was within both his first amendment right and within his rights of his state to defend himself (having been attacked, fled, attacked some more, then finally shot back), then he should be found not guilty.

The main question this trial asks is whether his speech was covered and whether his speech caused the incident, meaning he murdered those people who were incited.

I think as much stupid shit as he said, that if the shoot was solid, then he will get off. The idea that speech can incite someone to attack you and that killing them is murder even if they attacked first is a really intense idea. That speech would have to be inflammatory to any reasonable person, and I have a feeling that is not so.
