If it came with a batter trigger, I'd already have one. But, as stated before, hinged triggers feel like shit, and all of FNs striker fired triggers I've tried I've hated.

Recently got to 10k trigger breaks on my 4" 9, I can testify they smooth out significantly, but the break and reset stay crisp.

All that said, it's still a fairly heavy DAO striker trigger, I could get in to some aftermarket stuff if it was made.

I'm in the process of selling the P-07 and Witness Match, the M&P has been gone for a while, and as stated, waiting on a 4th FNS.

Aesthetically I like them too, they remind of glocks in the sense that they are so ugly you experience no remorse in harming them.

I'll try to be objective, clearly I'm biased and like this series... The things I consider legit drawbacks.... YMMV

Mags are pricey
No aftermarket trigger for showing off at the range
The versions with stock night sights are super rare or reserved for cops or some shit

For a practical or fighting trigger I love it, but yes it's ugly if you are a trigger connoisseur.

I won't gush, but everything else in my experience has been a positive, with that I'll shut the fuck up, hope this info isn't completely useless for you OP.

One final point, I can feel a difference in what I perceive as weight and a little difference in creep between the 4" and 5" model that I have, it's pretty minimal, most shooters couldn't feel it out with live ammo. I'm comfortable enough where I def feel it with snap caps and can feel it on the range now too (with these guns).

There's also a disparity in round count between the guns too though, so much of this is hard to pin down.

If I want a Glock I'll buy a Glock.

Good to hear bro, FNHUSA makes a point to brag about the round count these things can take, I'm looking forward to the testimonials of shooters financially better endowed than myself.

This is the most I tormented my 4" 9, about 2k rounds through it without cleaning straight and I chucked it in to sand - like desert sand 5 times over those months. I lubed the rails and cleaned the barrel other than that she just werked. This was the point when I got 2 failures of the trigger to reset and had to push it out myself, I probably shot 200 rounds that day, so not even a bad failure rate with an easy fix considering the state of the internals.

Not a scientific test of any kind, but dang if I wasn't inspired with confidence.

I'm going to stop whipping them in sand and just pick one to run ammo through till she seizes up.

~500 rounds in I had my guide rod assembly fail on me which sent it flying out the front of the gun. to it's credit, it still continued to function without it until I finished the match, but it was kinda disappointing. FN sent me 2 new springs 2-day shipped for free which was nice and since then, there's been no issue.

It took me and the RO to get the gun apart when that happened since the spring was just kinda wedged in there.

Kahr CW9 - sights not even close on windage, peened its self apart internally
DDM4VV11 - "out of spec" buttstock - these guys killed the customer service and made me way happy
CZ 75-SP01 - loose front sight post after 5k rounds
CZ P-07 - loose front sight post (like, absurdly loose) out of box
Tanfoglio Witness Match 10mm - Magazines pop out after every shot, only 50 rounds fired, currently shipped back for repair then sale, they charged me 20 bucks for return shipping and I paid my own shipping, fuck EEA
Century Arms CETME Sporter - sights so canted it was off 8x11 paper at 25 yards with the sights adjusted to the max.

I think that's all the problems I've had?

I have about 12k rounds through all my FNS series guns total so far and my anecdotal experience has been superb.
