What kind of challenge should I pick if I only bring my BP Remington? Would that make me a bandit or a loner?
>>
I am thinking of doing an overnight this spring. I am in Iowa, if you need ideas i have a few places. I do lots of photography and trespassing so I know lots of places.
>>
Is a 10/22 recommended for a three-day challenge, or should I go for something higher caliber?

bout an hour from des moines here in flyover country... i just wish they would reforest more land. theres a few good reserves and stuff but like 99% of the state is farmland so not very good for stalkan.
>>
>>32760838
yeah i get that. plus farmers really don't like it when you explore anywhere near their property. I have had farmers point a shotgun at me because I am out on a gravel road taking photos at night. I don't even go on their property because I would probably get shot. I am not black btw
>>
>>32760894
i dont think being black would matter, im mexican and i never had any problems with people. maybe des moines is different being so "culturally enriched"

damn, had a shotgun pointed at you? thats crazy. incidents like that are why i dont trespass, lol. I bet theres gotta be lots of old factories and shit here though that you could explore and not risk being killed at.
>>
>>32760696
can't beat gorka
>>
>>32760926
I have been in abandoned schools and factories here in des moines. In my 2 years of exploration I have been busted 3 times and never received a single ticket or ever had a bad encounter. As long as I don't bring weed, weapons, or burglary tools I get off free
>>
>>32760978
what excuse did you use to get off, im just curious. im sure you didnt tell the cops you were doing a challenge you saw on 4chan about a video game
>>
>>32760987
I just carry a DSLR around my neck. Don't have to use it. Just say you are a free lance photographer working for your blog. They usually say "well ok. I need you to leave, stay safe"

Ok,
so certain challenges require certain gear, but I want to ask you /k/,
For those of you who've done challenges in the past, what sort of loadout (clothing & gear, weapons, food, etc) did you bring?

Also STALKERS, what would your ideal loadout be?

Location Finder here.

I have a life outside of my endeavours with /k/. I will email you. I will keep that promise, but I cannot do it rapidly. It takes me about 45 minutes to an hour and a half to get really thorough data and dig up some stuff, check it for accuracy, and get back to you.

I am sorry if any of you are sitting without an answer. I currently have around 8 more to go through. I will try to operate from 1700-2200 as much as I possibly can to get you all what you requested.

My biggest hope for this project is to get an updated source for these kind of efforts. Everything online is way out of date or just outright wrong, while looking over some other stuff that is out there. Even if it is confined to /k/ I want to help as many of us as I can, and this is the most efficient way, even if it is pretty far off.

In the end, I am just bored and need productivity.

North of Tucson is a nice place I head to innadesert off Marana road exit, abandoned ranch house onnahill. kinda common for parties. If you follow the riverbed north-northeast for about a mile and a half, there's a nice oasis there. Across from that is a really nice flat plain with a ridge to the south, perfect for hunting coyotes early in the morning.

Down in Patagonia Mountains on the border there's lots of abandoned mines and a few buildings, mostly wilderness though. However there is this really strange place that has signs that say "no photography, no cell phones, no video" and construction equipment and vehicles. When we went down there I saw a blue flag, looked like the DoHS flag but I couldn't be sure. My brother said he saw a black SUV driving down the road east of our campsite with a guy in a suit in there. This is all in the middle of a national forest so no idea what it is.

If you see me or my brother I'll have a morale patch on my green assault pack, usually the "rock or something" patch, occasionally NCR first recon and butterfly "And so we went to war", probably wearing a brown leather cowboy hat and carrying my AR and black powder pistol. Shout some autism at me and we can chill and play tactical dress up
>>
>>32769494
Washington is close, but the mines in northern idaho are pretty fucking dangerous because of a lot of methane and chlorine gas sits in them.

dang dude, I'm trying to find some of the old missile silos that are all over eastern Washington, but finding ones that aren't already owned s rough

Central Idaho is mostly public lands and there are a ton of abandoned mines/structures. Silo's in montana are mostly active still so I steer clear.

There's Discovery park in the military housing area, Club Z.
Well east of Seattle there's an abandoned Nike missile site in Redmond.

But if you're STALKER enough, you should go to the Satsop Nuclear Power Plant

Discovery park is a crowded, popular neighborhood park these days. It's a great park, but not for stalker challenge. The officers housing on the hill turned into a fancy housing project.

There are some awesome spots just off highway 20 by lake diablo if you want to do some dyatlov pass stalking.

Plenty of options.

Theres the abandoned Wheatley-Provident Hospital.
An abandoned factory near the Blue River Basin.
Closed Blenheim Elementary School, (along with another 20 abandoned schools spread around KC MO area).
And the Kansas City Workhouse Castle (its right on the street and is accessible without any problems. However, the cops may run you off if they catch you sneeki breeki around.)

MASTER DIFFICULTY:
The 8th street streetcar tunnel (not sure how you can break in there now).

>>32774450
No problem! Club Z was a joke, btw.
>>
>>32774636
Did they now? Well shit I haven't been there in years now.

Oh? I'll definitely have to take a look into that as well.
>>32775121
Well it is Seattle, I wouldn't be surprised if I came across a group of furries...
>>
Is there anywhere good in Minnesota? Willing to go as far as the Duluth area from the cities
>>
Central NY sucks. They demolished the abandoned housing section at Hancock, split rock is boring, and there really isn't anything else near Syracuse. Rochester has some subway tunnels that are pretty cool but that's basically it

Forget the name, but there's an abandoned town outside of an NPP but it's all chimneys and foundations now.

If you're near Tuskegee national forest there's a bunch of abandoned buildings along the road there, problem is they're on the road.

For all the Alabama anons

http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/alabama/alabama-ghost-towns/

They're several ghost towns but most are historical sites so I'd be extra careful about making sure you can legally camp and shoot there, especially in Bellfonte as that land may be owned by the NPP close by

Also many of these are Civil War historical cites, so be wary of oddly dressed southern gents with funny accents.
>>
>>32775786

And then there's the Goddard Mansion at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth,
Fort Baldwin, and
The Loring Air Force Base in Limestone.
The old Moulton’s Mill in Newfield.

>>32775385
James A. Reed is okay, but not excellent for Breeki, as that's where a lot of Cross Country teams go to run, and high schoolers go to smoke dope. Plus lots of hunting and fishing depending on the season. Not great, not awful.

I know there is a big waterfall if you go through Greenwood up Allendale Lake Rd into Lake Winnebago. Can't really be geared up since you're going through a subdivision, but I know there is a back way in, I just have never been that way. I typically walked across a shallow part of the lake, then scaled down the rock face (you can either freestyle, rappel, or just scramble down the slope).
>>

How on earth do you find out the history of these places like when they were built / abandoned / destroyed or their original purpose for example object 4?

history of America7 months ago
We learn on the old military maps, according to the documents in libraries and on objects... for example, on the object 4, we found a large burial transformed animal bodies

>>32775385
