Is there anyone else out there that thinks the original Aimpoint model looks sexy as fuck? I can't be the only one.

Also post your optics, whatever gun, doesn't matter

How old is that advertisement? I see it has what looks like a picatinny rail attachment though I suppose it could be for the old weaver type rails.

I do agree though, I think that optic there has a definite retro cool factor to it.

It's an ad from a 1980 issue of American Rifleman, but their first model came out in 1975, and discontinued in '79. That's probably the G2 model, almost the same aesthetic imo

Bretty cool, never knew they had stuff like that back in the late 70's. Kinda want to build a CAR-15 clone and put one on it now lol.

I kinda wanna put one on my HK91 when I finish paying for it. Are there any other cool retro optics that /k/ would recommend for that kind of rifle?

For reference, that example is using the additional magnifier add-on.

Speaking of weird optics, how about a Chink YMA-95-1? One of maybe a dozen ever exported, it's like a tiny autistic POSP. Quirky proprietary quick-release mount that holds zero, illuminated reticle, and I even have the original carry case, manual and factory QC papers.

Looks like air soft tier Chinese garbage

Seems plenty rugged to me. Build quality is pretty damn good.
I'll likely never sell it, either. Chinese mil optics are just too rare, and it's a neato optic with some blatant Slav heritage.
>>

>there are people who are into chink milsurp

I really should have known this was a thing but I'm still shocked by it.
>>
>>32758873
I'm not, not really. I just like oddball guns and accessories. I had the Type 97 before, and I knew they had a proprietary optic, and with enough searching managed to find one. I figure why not have the optic that's designed to work with that particular gun?
>>
>>32758923
How much was the gun and optic?
>>
>>32759044
Gun was $1000, optic was nearly that.

Is there any magnification? The scope must be super snowflake because I can find barely any info on it with Google
