I'm looking at one of two options, I plan to buy either a Ruger P series pistol (most likely a p89). or a FEG Hi Power. They're roughly in the same price range (300-500ish), any suggestions as to which I should get? Anyone with personal experience?

Keep your eye out for a Ruger SR series pistol as well. They should be in the $300-400 range and are a bit nicer, Imo.
>>
>>32747798
kk, I'll look into that as well.

Personally I like the hi power more. The P89 always seemed a little ghetto and boring.
>>
>>32747833
To me it seems like a weird retro-futuristic 1911 which is what made me interested in it. That and it has 80s A E S T H E T I C S. I love the look of Hi Powers and other Browning guns but I'm thinking, which out of the two is really going to get me more mileage? Am poorfag for reference. Currently NEET but seek to change that.
>>
rugers make me think of old guys and ghetto blasters. i love the profile of the hi power but i dont like sao hand guns. If its main purpose is to sit in a draw till you need it at 3 am the ruger is a better choice. they'll both work. hi power used to be the golden baby of semi auto hand guns and I've never seen a ruger not function
>>
>>32747855
I would be choosing an all purpose handgun. Carry, HD, you name it. One of these two. Has to be something I can rely on.
>>
>>32747889
hi power or a ruger for a carry gun? these guns are big as fuck unless you only wear trenchcoats everywhere you won't have a fun time concealing these. Guns are tools for different jobs. you can't have a gun that does everything
>>
>>32747919
Ironically I wear a lot of baggy clothes with large pockets at all times and wear my coat all the time during the cold months, so yeah, lol, I could probably cut down my mosin and cc that shit.

If carry is something your looking for, the sr9c is an option that would still be in your budget. I bought mine last January for about $350 with 3 mags. And then you can always use a full size magazine in it if you're just out target shooting so you've got a full grip.

Dammit.

>p89

No. You want a P345

Thank me later.
>>

I've owned a P89 for years and it's the toughest fucking pistol ever, gave $250 for it.

Cycles everything from shitty cheap steel to high dollar brass, only problem is finding mags.

Kinda heavy and there's no way any average sized guy could conceal carry it, but I would definitely trust it with my life.

Never had a Hi Power, but it was widely adopted and loved so I'm not going to bash it.

Pseries is solid

I have a 9mm P89, .45 P90, and an FEG Hi Power. All are nice, fun to shoot, and reliable. Out of all 3, I prefer the Hi Power, but that's mainly because the Ruger P-series pistols are heavy and bulky. I'll still take my $400 turkshit CZ-75 clone over all of them any day.

The P89 is reliable, rugged, and decently accurate but it's heavy and bulky as hell. The Hi Power is reliable and comfortable, but SAO isn't that fun to me. My TriStar S-120 is reliable as fuck, rugged, accurate, and very comfortable.

Either way, just remember that with all 3 of these choices, mec-gar mags are the way to go:
>P89 17rd flush fit mags
>Hi Power 15rd flush for mags
>CZ 75 17rd flush fit mags
>>
>9mm

HAHAHAHAHA

It's like you want islam to win
>>
>>32747786

I've owned both, and both are basically good guns.

in the $300-500 range, you do have other options, but either gun will last.

I would probably choose the FEG, but I would sleep soundly with a P89 in the nightside table.
