Can't seem to.

I've had issues with my p30, 500 rounds in, still having weak ejection and the slide not traveling all the way to the rear, frequently not engaging the slide lock on last round (with various types of ammo)
the slide lock levers are also fuck huge for no reason and you have to adjust your grip around them. The rear decocker is honestly inferior to traditional usp level (the p30s with ambi levers with traditional usp style decock and no rear button would of been nice.
The sights are great fucking day sights. I know in the day they're just 3 yellow dots but they fucking rock. shit night sights, glow in the dark is dumb, but lol german laws.
Not as big of the fan of the changeable side/back straps. my back strap has a bit of flex to it, and it's weird and sucks.
paddle release is amazing. It's huge and easy to reach, but I have never accidentally engaged it. I can't go back to buttons.
6/10 handgun overall, should buy usp for $100-$200 cheaper

>reliability
As good as any other 9mm/.40 s&w gun on the market. Never had problems with H&K in terms of reliability or any other gun brand for that matter.
>carry ability
Depends. Concealed? Not so much unless you like to wear baggy clothes or are fairly large yourself. Open? Everyday comfortably. Not the biggest guy myself, but carrying the P30 at 6 o'clock wasn't too much of a problem if I wore a jacket.
>function
Large simple controls, paddle mag release, none which seem to be any problem.
Obviously that's all subjective to who's using it, that's why I nitpicked things that I personally don't like about it and what I see as flaws. Everyone's experience with any firearm will be different, so no flaws/pros/cons will be set in stone, but at least they give you an idea of what you might expect.

Goddamn... The USP compact looks sexy in snow.
I'm getting a handgun within the week. This will be my only handgun till I get married and have kids. Convince me not to splurge on a Five-seveN

USP .45 owner here, the 5.7 is toight. Super toight, mad friggen toight.
I shot 1" groups at 10 yards the first time I tried one. It's a very capable gun. And it holds like a million rounds. I kept wondering when it was going to run out.

You must have a sub-70 nigger IQ. Kill yourself DaQwan.
What's the point of DAO if the trigger is 5.5 pounds anyway

Ya I'm sure you carry a near 3 pound all steel full size 24/7 fucker
Owned one for quite some time. Sold it and got into some other pistols before settling back with Glocks.
In no particular order, my problems with the pistol were:
- Sight options were limited (more available now) and a bitch to install. Glock has admittedly spoiled me on that front.
- The trigger, while I felt it was very safe, took dedicated practice to maintain proficiency with. I needed significantly more time with LEM versus a SFA trigger to obtain the same level of on-demand performance. It was very easy to rush the shot and drop the shots low, and despite the intermediate reset, it worked better when shot like a revolver (full trigger stroke each shot, constant pressure through the press vs. riding the reset). On that front, I wish the take-up weight were closer to the actual break weight -- would have made my trigger control easier.
- It's a rather tall gun, especially considering that similar options (P226, Glock 17, M&P, Beretta, etc.) give you 17-18 shots.
- Despite the very customizable grip, Glock's 2x4 grip and the P226's original-style grips both filled out my hand better providing better control, even though the P30 felt "perfect" (large backstrap, medium left, small right).
Other than that, reliability was 100%. Mags were 'spensive but that's a given with HKs.

It's not a true DAO, rather a pre-cocked DAO with an intermediate reset.
The pros are that it's difficult to short-stroke the trigger vs. a true DAO, the lighter trigger is considered by some to be easier to manage (I found the opposite), and it's a very safe trigger that provides lots of feedback that says "shit is indeed happening," giving you plenty of opportunity to get off the trigger should you need to (trigger-checking, for example -- people do that under stress. A "shoot" problem that suddenly reverts to a "no shoot/not yet" problem is another example).
