Considering trading my glock 19 for a p2000. Lgs had one with night sights for 899.99.

Worth it?

do you like your glock 19? If not then go ahead

Fuck.

No.

Also, 3 dot night sights are shit.

Just wait until you switch sides and you will get one for free as a CT
>>
>>32741589
Pretty much this.

I personally own a p2000 and owned a Glock 19. The p2000 is much more accurate for me in my hands. That's why I prefer it but it also has less capacity, less aftermarket and more expensive magazines.
>>
>>32741561
fuck that i see them for $550 in georgia. go to ga firing line in marietta and you can get them in the $550to $650 range.

fuck, you can buy a new USP Compact for $700

I paid $499 nib on sale for my P2k

No OP. Its not worth it. The P2000 sucks. A P30 or VP9 would be a decent trade, but not for a P2000.

wew lad. I love my USP but "less aftermarket" is putting it lightly.

Such an empty, meaningless and asinine comment.
>>

If the trade is with someone you know, I'd head out to the range and see how the H&K feels and shoots.

>>Get whatever feels best in your hand,
>Such an empty, meaningless and asinine comment.

Disagree. There are plenty of firearms that I'm not interested in shooting because they are ergonomically wrong for for me.

"Fit" is an important component in choosing a firearm.
>>
I have both.

If it's a DAO P2K, sure, think about it.If it's the DA/SA, I'd pass. Glock mags are cheaper , hold more, the G19 is smaller and holds more boolit, and the P2K mags are pricey as fuck.

That said the single action is a bit better than the Glock trigger, but the double action sucks. The double action only trigger somehow manages to be the best out of all of them, including the Glock, but again, mags.

Also that price is way too fucking high, I live in actually Alaska and they're all sub 700, night sights available for much less than that price difference....
>>
>>32741561
It's worth it as a straight up trade. CDNN had these on sale for $499 not too long ago for the 9mm version.
>>
>>32741561
>899.99.
looks like they are trying to pimp the HK name. local place has several used USPs in diff calibers and full and compact sizes, and they are asking $700 and up. Those same guns have been in the display case for as long as I can remember. Look for a deal OP, but if you really want it, it's your money.
>>
>>32744386
Love my p2000 but I also want a USP compact for that better trigger and USP fanboyism. How does it carry compared to the p2000? I know they take the same mags.
>>
>>32746507
Some come with night sights and 3 mags. $899 isn't a deal but it's pretty standard with those options.
>>
>>32744727
>"Fit" is an important component in choosing a firearm.

Except it isn't. How a gun "feels" in your hand is largely irrelevant. Actually shooting it and seeing how it behaves under recoil is much more of a consideration than how it "feels"

faggot.
>>
>>32741561
i own one and it never failed on me, kinda bulky for an edc but it works as a open carry or just to shoot
>>
>>32746562
not that guy, but when I lived in GA and had my permit I carried a USP compact using a leather IWB holster at about 4-5 o'clock. As long as I didn't try to run, I didn't really notice it. I'm 6'2" and at the time I was 185-190, so that helped me conceal it too.
>>
>>32744386
HKs don't need an aftermarket because they actually work correctly out of the box.
>>
I fucking love my USP 45 compact, thinner than a glock 19 and makes 45 feel very soft. Stupid accurate too. I've been carrying it for almost a decade, right at 4:30. Conceals better than my CZ P01. I'm sure if I can carry this thing year round in Texas, you can do a P2000. I wouldn't pay more than 600 though, HKs older models are actually much more affordable.

On another note, has anyone ever back to backed a P2000sk 9mm and a glock 26? I'm thinking about getting one or the other down the road as something between my main EDC and my deep carry PPK.

>$900
Speaking as a MA fag who can get a brand new one for 600, you're getting played.
>>
>>32741561
I paid like $650 for my new P2000SK. That's way too high, tell them to get fucked and ship one in/FFL transfer.

As far as the gun itself goes, it's a great piece.
>>
>>32742731
A p30 is literally the same fucking thing on the inside you moron.
>>
>>32741561

I have both, and it's an overall lateral move, as they are both semi-compact 9mm pistols.

However...

>2 less round in HK
>expensive mags
>Striker vs DA or LEM is worth thinking about

I really like my LEM P2000, but I bought it from a friend for $400. I don't know if I'd drop $900 on one when CDNN has them for under $600
>>
>>32746562

Have P2000 and USP compact

The P2000 is a refined version of the USP Compact. It's almost the same gun, but the P2000 has adjustable grips, ambidextrous controls, and a slightly better rail system.

Any other difference is simple aesthetics. The USP is blockier, and the P2000 is a bit more sculpted. P2000 might carry better, but It's negligible.

win-win in my opinion.
