The original Sphinx quality was impeccable, but they were high precision target pistols. The current marketing strategy is to make more common civilian variants with less precision craftsmanship. They're still good pistols but they're definitely riding the name.

That's some Swiss quality right there. Tight machining and poor handworking. The Sphinx 3000 I saw (which is supposed to be the higher quality old way made ones) had a worse slide to frame fit than a $1000 1911.

I have one OP and I love it. It is a great pistol and is super comfortable to shot and very accurate. If you like the CZ-75 or metal frames DA/SA pistols, then you should get one.

Also, does anyone know when they are going to start importing the full size ones? In some video I saw from the media day of Shot Show, some Kriss rep said they were going to start importing the full size ones. I haven't heard anything else about it.
