Anyone else feel that the everyday hunting rifles that you can buy just don't look as cool as milsurp rifles? I think the Remington 700 is the only exception, probably because it was in Vietnam.
Anyone know any good looking hunting rifles?

I like the way the 85 Bavarian Carbine looks. I think it's pretty damn nice.

Damn thats sexy.
Why don't more rifles have the wood go all the way to the end of the barrel? Is it just cost saving? Or an artifact of military rifles?

holy shit what the fuck is that cancer

Weight, and wood deforms with heat so less wood attached to the barrel is considered better by some. This is why many "sporterized" milsurp rifles have a bunch of wood removed from them.

shooped thankfully.

The good kind

Not to mention the concept of using your rifle as a walking stick is nowadays considered pretty unsafe and is detrimental to the rifle.

Haha the good ol' days.
