Poorfag buying first AK. 800$ max. What do?
WASR 10
>>32722864
This. WASR is a great choice for a poorfag
>>32722875
I have heard good things about WASAR and N-PAP
>>32722889
WASR might not be the best choice for a first gun, but much easier to clean and customize compared to the NPAP
Thanks K

Wait for Trump to unban saigas tomorrow. Izhmash has come out with some cool shit they've planned to import.
Don't buy them all at once. If we play the market right and make it seem like there's less demand we may see a day where AKs are $100-300 again.

Haha, you morons.

>G43
>AMD-65
He sure shouldn't be thanking you.
>>32723767
I love the looks of that and it's great to have an almost AKM with mag dimples on the market. But dammit, why didn't they use a 45 degree gas block?
>>32724758
Because they never have made a 45 degree gas block. Frustrating, I know, but not that frustrating when you considering what Colt has done. Just imagine one in 5.45.
>>32722863
N-PAP
Because you know, deep down, you want to remove Kebab.
>>32724749
Two for the price of one. Never heard anything bad about G43's, and the AMD's are meh-tier at worst - Haven't heard any major failures etc. Plus -
>poorfag
Why not get two for the price of one?
>>32724814
Buy once, cry once. The AMD-65 kit builds are pure garbage, all commercial kit builds are. The G43 is a single stack subcompact pistol which is just no, especially for 450 dollars.
>>32724778
On second thought, I realize you're right. Even those milled AK's they made under contract for the Iraqi military had 90 degree blocka.
>>32722863
Buy 2 AR-15s instead. Sit on them for a year until the supply glut tapers off and sell them for a profit. If the Russian import ban gets lifted you'll feel like a horse's ass for blowing that kind of money for an AK.
>>32724927
Only way ARs would have went up in value, or at least stayed the same, was with Clinton. If nothing else, ARs will get cheaper. Especially if the Hearing Protecting Act passes.
Russia ban isn't getting lifted no more than the Hughes Amendment is going to be repealed. The people that benefit from them don't want them repealed.

PSA has their PSAK's on sale for 749.00 with blonde wood furniture.

The new Arsenal AK is going to start at $850. Save a little extra and get that.
>>32722863
Arsenal is about to release an SLR107 with an MSRP of $849
Might want to look into that
>>32722863
Norinco MAK-90 is honestly the best choice. They are of good quality construction, and while the stock is unorthodox it's actually really pleasant to shoot with.
>>32725125
Because that isn't correct according to Soviet uniform regulations.

That's not how you say American. All parts and receiver (minus the Barrel, trigger group and magazine) are straight from the Hungarian FEG factory. It the ain't the best but it's a good beater gun neverless that won't blow up on your face or have the trunnions crack. People would bitch about the weak barrel yet in what situation would one be stupid to break their barrels. There's plenty of parts and replacements available to replace the Tapco trigger set and new barrel can be found online with the spare cash
>>32725746
MAK-90 is superior in every way.
PROTIP: Been hearing stories about QC issues on the latest batches of WASRs. Sounds like Cugir has been rushing production to meet demand and also meet military contracts.
WASR and NPAP are still the go-to good, cheap AKs but know how to check an AK for issues before you buy it. Of the two, NPAP is better-built, WASR has standard ergos, parts, and a vastly better aftermarket.
Also OP if you sit on it for a few months the budget AK market is probably gonna see a price dive due to Arsenal introducing a new fixed-stock SLR107 @ $850, which is gonna severely fuck up the AKs currently at that pricepoint.
>>32723769
>Oh man I can't wait for the anti-free-trade president whose economic policy is extreme protectionism to bring back cheap imported guns!
>>32725761
You're not wrong and those AMD kit-builds are trash with long, soft barrels.
But outside of the occasional anons getting really lucky I don't think I've seen a MAK-90 sell for $800 in like 3 years. They tend to go for ~$1000 on the low end these days. But saying it's impossible, just that you need to get lucky.
It's certainly not a reliable enough thing to recommend in a "poorfag buying first AK thread".
