If cost is not a concern, get a Aimpoint CompM4L, it can use AA's and the mount doesn't require leveling.

If you want a do-all optic, as much of a joke people make them out to be, get an ACOG or an Elcan Spectre 1x-4x. Their reticles are etched so you can use them without batteries and they're tanks.

Or just get a Primary Arms like some people will tell you. Most of us wouldn't last a week anyway.

Yep, both eyes open no problem. It's BTFO everything at similar price points that I've messed with, Vortex, Leupold, SWFA etc etc. I've seriously thought about getting another one for the M4A1 instead of the PRO. Glass is great, dot is g2g in bright sun, windage and elevation turrets are good. My only gripe is the red dot control is a little mushy.

Should I buy a completed psa freedom upper for 320 or buy better upper parts (with free float) for 475 dollars?

I will also need a Bev block and sights because I won't get the rear MBUs and fixed front sight like on the PSA freedom.

Trying to decide for like a month and it doesn't look like PSA will have any better deals on the upper.

I'm building a 9mm AR but the barrel diameter where I want to put my sight post is 0.725, not 0.750 like it should be. Will an A1 style sight base clamp onto that snugly or will I have to shim/screw it on?

I buy cheap 55's for any shooting and drills within 100 yards but I reload for everything else. I like the 75's but hornady 60gr's have given me the best performance, which is strange since they aren't boat tails

I have most every trigger Geissele's made, and I have a second-gen (black) MBT.

I would say that the MBT is better than the SSA, SSF (there's a lot of stuff better than the SSF actually), and SD-C, but doesn't quite match up to the feel of the SSA-E, SD-E, or HSNM.

I have shot a first-gen, silver trigger MBT. I would say it's better than the second-gen. But not by enough to change the rankings.

My biggest reason for rating the MBT below the SSA-E and SD-E are that it's heavier, as measured by an average of 10 pulls with a trigger gauge. Both of my SD-E's and my SSA-E break at EXACTLY the advertised 3.5lbs, whereas my MBT breaks at 3.9 instead of the advertised 3.5.

Reset on the MBT is a little shorter than on the SSA-E, and a little longer than on the SD-E. Takeup on the MBT is longer than both of them, with the SD-E having takeup so short I can't measure it. Still quite reasonable.

I would say the MBT is the clear price:perf winner, but I think the SD-E is the best AR trigger going at the moment.
