I've seen many times on /k/ when the OP is addressing issues like "kill on sight," they always mention morale patch wearers frequently. I think the general image of someone that has these sorts of patches and wears them in a serious situation, from the perspective of normies, is that they're wannabe paramilitary plus autism and so are a dangerous and unpredictable element. I personally would judge them based on the patch design. Someone wearing racist shit unironically would make me nervous because they're trying to be stormtroopers, but an anime patch or something would just be silly fun same as wearing your favorite hat or some shit underneath a ballistic helmet. I've traded and gifted patches to people that go innasandbox and have exchanged fire. It sucks, but it doesn't seem lucrative or desirable.

I had a conversation with someone. He didn't like what a certain Japanese company did for official velcro patches for a certain series of designs. Issues here and there so he decided to save up money to reproduce them and correct the mistakes said Japanese company did.

Again, don't like something? Make it your own. What is the purpose of /k/ patch community? It's a group of people doing a hobby to make original patch designs and correct mistakes made by officially licensed patches by making versions superior to their licensed counterpart.

You can boycott Skin, but you will eventually come back to him because as far as I'm concerned, his patches are damn nice for the price. You have one issue with one patch out of a fuckload of other designs he's making.

Maybe I'm overreacting and "taking the bait," but this commotion over a fucking patch is bullshit.

Kind of like EA fucking up Battlefield 3 and 4 to various degrees but people still support the series, you get where I'm headed?

Keep in mind that at the end of the day, Skin is the one spending money to make the patches. If a certain design doesn't sell, then he's the one at a disadvantage. The buyer controls how much shekels he gives to Skin, so you, the buyer, are not losing anything.

I ain't shilling for Skin, it's just that such incident I'm seeing here is similar to how the industry I'm in is facing to a certain degree. The outrage isn't really necessary, if not childish at most.
