IIRC ww2 french tanks were narrow so they'd fit on the standard freight wagon.

I think some marders had a MANPAD on the rear like that. I saw one at bovington like that.

When will these beautiful bitches get into World Of Tanks?
>>32717430
nah better be in warthunder wift the french

the remote mg was on the early series model but removed after....(what i found on google...)

The 1A3 is uparmored, and as a result loses the gun ports and remote mg.
Nonetheless, I would be very interested in pics of the one at bovington. I know the germans and the french mounted atgms on pintle mounts on some of their apcs, but I haven't heard about manpads.

I wish pizza deliveries were by tanks though.
Maybe in some hyper militaristic alternate dimension.

the french made field improvement on VAB to ad panel armor and m249/anf1 on the rear hatch but that is not a "production planed thing"

Here's what I could find. I realized its definitely not a MANPAD. I remember watching the chieftain and he referred to it as a "stinger".

The SdKfz138/G-13 I dealt with had an odd system for firing a Mg34 via what looked like a set of bike handlebars and a Bowden cable.
It was pretty fucking mickey-mouse, and the only reason I remember it was I kept hitting my head on it, but I guess sometimes, desperation is the mother of invention.
It sure did make more sense than poking your dome out to blast squishies with a pintle mounted piece while furiously reversing....
