Text-based knowledge for you guys:

Don't use corrosive ammo in a gun unless you either have time to bathe every metal part in water/Ballistol solutions after every session, or if you just don't care about the condition of your gun. Used corrosive ammo in an M39, and it chewed up my bolt even after I took great care to clean the internals of the bolt and firearm. Using corrosive in an SKS is just ASKING for a bad time, especially the Yugo's with tighter tolerances during disassembly.

Corrosive ammo might have been worth using several years ago when it was dirt cheap, but it's not worth it anymore. "Don't use corrosive ammo" is no longer a meme and is actually valid advice since it costs almost as much as modern-production ammo, for both 7.62x39 and 7.62x54R.

M67 is more expensive than GT. M67 is considered desirable because of its behavior in soft tissue, in spite of corrosion.
However GT does the same damn thing so there's literally no reason to ever buy that shit

If you are do not have enough time to clean your rifle, or are out of wipes, just soak your gun in vinegar to prevent carbon buildup and prevent rusting.

Out of lubricant? Mix some chlorine and brake fluid, its a simple lube and you can find the ingredients almost anywhere.

Sights out of alignment and you can't shoot to sight it in again without risking Opsec? Just fill the barrel with plaster, it'll keep any noise from escaping and it'll catch the bullet so it won't go flying off somewhere, you can even do this inside.

Need a good source of kindling without having to scurry all over the forest looking for enough? Just mix some rust and aluminum powder and take a lighter to it, it burns slow and keeps the fire going long enough to catch your logs or branches.
>>
>>32714206
Yeah, pretty much. I almost bought M67 because it came with stripper clips, but I have a supplier for gun parts/accessories that had new blued ones for about $0.50 a piece and they feed just great. Golden Tiger is awesome stuff, I agree.

For some reason, I thought that shit would spew poisoned gas, but it actually just has some combustion. Though I wouldn't want to inhale the fumes.

That actually isn't that bad of advise, thermite burns for a while. Just don't cook marshmallows with it.

Can someone please lend me some knowledge? I would like to identify a gun I shot as a kid. It was a 44 magnum revolver, but the cylinder did not swing out and you had to load/eject through one bullet-sized opening on the right side of the gun using a spring-thing on the barrel to push spent casings out. It scared the hell out of me to shoot. Was someone else's gun so I only shot it one time. Sorry for lack of other descriptors/ proper terminology.
>>
>>32715012
I know nobody can give me a model, but I'm confused by my memory of it not having a swing-out cylinder.
>>
>>32715012
some form of single action revolver of which there are dozens to choose from
>>
>>32715012
Sounds like a Ruger Blackhawk. Big single action, cowboy-gun style revolver. I think there are some italian or spanish copies. I shot one as a kid too, and it scared the hell out of me as well.

I once tried to make thermite from groun aluminum foil and rust. It didn't work at all. Your advice is shit and I have the feeling that all your advices are shit!

If thermal suit is what I think it is then it's way too warm to wear for any physical activity until at least -30C, even then you should consider if you really need it. It gets really hot with that thing on.

That chart is for "Protective Combat Uniform".

Not the US Army ECWCS.

Level 6 and level 7 are different in PCU and ECWCS.

>>

This makes sense on paper but whenever I try it, I can't get a good visual. Always end up looking at some trees or somewhere the enemy isn't.
